NFL Week 11 Wagering Review

Week 11 in the NFL was downright boring when compared to the entertaining highs and lows that BetUS NFL sports betting buffs everywhere enjoyed the previous ten weeks.

Still, in keeping with the general ‘surprise’ theme that the 2008-09 season has turned out to be, there were one or two surprising outcomes across the NFL landscape.

Here is a look back at the week that was, with a glimpse toward what lies ahead for BetUS NFL Sportsbook betting enthusiasts.

Jets 34 Patriots 31 (OT)

Okay NFL bettors, the Jets look like they are really starting to come together behind Brett Favre’s unmatchable leadership, while the Patriots looked better than ever, even in defeat! Both teams have tough road contests in Week 11.

Broncos 24 Falcons 20

I didn’t learn anything about either team in this contest that I didn’t already know! The Broncos aren’t that impressive and the Falcons are still young and improving. Atlanta hosts Carolina while Denver hosts Oakland.

Packers 37 Bears 3

The margin of this game was a huge surprise! The Bears haven’t looked the same since their Super Bowl loss three seasons ago while the Packers look pretty good with Aaron Rodgers leading the way! The Packers face the high-scoring Saints on Monday night.

Saints 30 Chiefs 20

New Orleans can score with any team in the game, but their defense is similar to Swiss cheese so I’m not impressed with their win here. The Chiefs still have a way to go just to get back to respectability. KC hosts Buffalo on Sunday.

Giants 30 Ravens 10

The Giants are clearly the cream of the crop in the NFC and are well on their way toward making a repeat appearance in the Super Bowl. The Ravens still have some flaws to work on but look like a legitimate contender in the NFC. The G-Men have a huge date against Arizona on Sunday.

Eagles 13 Bengals 13

Either the Bengals are really good or the Eagles are really bad. I choose the latter! Philadelphia is mediocre at best this season. The Eagles could be even more hard-pressed to score against Baltimore on Sunday.

Colts 33 Texans 27

The Colts can still score with the greatest of ease, but they are clearly marginal at best defensively these days. The Texans have underachieved all season long. Indy visits the marginal Chargers on Sunday.

Dolphins 17 Raiders 15

The Dolphins are winning but clearly have some work to do on offense. The Raiders are atrocious, despite owning a roster full of young talent!

Panthers 31 Lions 22

The Panthers have a solid straight up record by have questions that need to be answered on both sides of the ball. The Lions may have better luck newt year – then again, maybe not!

Buccaneers 19 Vikings 13

Despite their winning straight up record, the Buccaneers don’t scare me very much at all and have plenty of areas they still need to address. The Vikings look like the same mediocre bunch they’ve been all season long but should have a decent shot at beating Jacksonville in their next game.

49ers 35 Rams 16

At least the 49ers have a fiery head coach in Mike Singletary that genuinely seems to care. The Rams, on the other hand, are pitiful! Frisco visits Dallas on Sunday.

Cardinals 26 Seahawks 20

The Cardinals are headed toward a playoff appearance I predicted for them earlier this season while the Seahawks quit on head coach Mike Holmgren just after their regular season opener got underway.

Titans 24 Jaguars 14

The Titans are the cream of the crop in the AFC while the Jaguars are arguably the league’s biggest disappointment this season! Tennessee should have its hands full with Brett Favre and the Jets on Sunday.

Steelers 11 Chargers 10

This game really didn’t tell me much I didn’t already know either as the Steelers are strong on defense and mediocre on offense, while the Chargers have turned out to be a classic Norv Turner team – a group of athletic underachievers. Pittsburgh hosts Cincinnati on Thursday.

Cowboys 14 Giants 10

The Cowboys got back in the win column in this contest, but it’s very clear that neither NFC East team in this contest is a challenge for the superior New York Giants at this point – on either side of the football.

Analysis: Other than the Titans and Giants, there are a plethora of teams in each conference that are grouped together and have realistic shots of reaching the postseason heading into Week 11 in the BetUS Sportsbook, but until I see otherwise, the guess is here is that the Titans and Giants will meet in Super Bowl XLVIII
