Free Week 7 NFL Totals Predictions

Its week SEVEN of the 2009 NFL season and we pick and preview all of the week 7 matchups from an OVER/Under NFL betting perspective this season…

NFL Week 7 Betting Preview

For the second week in a row, the underdog was the best bet. Once again nine teams getting points covered. Three teams; Cleveland, Baltimore, and St. Louis covered but lost while six teams; Kansas City, Houston, Oakland, Arizona, Buffalo and Denver won their games outright. The Bills and Raiders pulled off the biggest upset as they were listed as double digit dogs.

Here is a rundown of all this week’s games and the current lines as supplied by MySportsbook.com.

Sunday, Oct. 25

(Byes: Baltimore, Denver, Detroit, Jacksonville, Seattle, Tennessee)

Chicago Bears at Cincinnati Bengals (-1)
Over/Under 42.5

Both teams are coming off a loss and need a win to keep pace in their division. Go with the BEARS as QB Jake Cutler earns his new contract with a big win. This game goes OVER as well

Green Bay Packers (-7) at Cleveland Browns
Over/Under 42.5

Packer QB Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 25 times so far and the beating may be taking its toll. Look for the BROWNS to cover the points and keep this game UNDER

San Francisco 49ers at Houston Texans (-3)
Over/Under 44

The 49ers are coming off a bye and should be ready to go. This is an odd number week for the Texans, who only seem to win on even numbered weeks. 49ERS and the UNDER

San Diego Chargers (-4) at Kansas City Chiefs
Over/Under 44

Once again the 2-3 Chargers have dug themselves a hole in the division race. They should be able to even their record against the Chiefs. Take the CHARGERS and the OVER.

Minnesota Vikings at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5)
Over/Under 45.5

This will be the first real test for the Vikings as Pittsburgh is a very hard place for a dome team to get a win. The unbeaten string ends at 6, take the STEELERS and the OVER.

Indianapolis Colts (-13) at St. Louis Rams
Over/Under 46

With one of the hottest teams in the league rested after a bye week, this game is not about if they will win rather by how much. Take the COLTS, and stick with the UNDER.

New England Patriots (-14) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Over/Under 45

The Patriots have started their mid season roll and even a trip to London will not slow them down. Brady and New England are undefeated in their last 12 games against the NFC. Take the PATRIOTS and the UNDER.

Buffalo Bills at Carolina Panthers (NL)
Over/Under NL

Bills QB Trent Edwards status for Sunday’s game is still uncertain after sustaining a concussion in last week’s game. Carolina is looking to win 3 in a row. If the line stays close, take the PANTHERS and the UNDER.

New York Jets (-6) at Oakland Raiders
Over/Under 35

Lighting rarely strikes twice as I do not see the Raiders pulling off back to back upsets. New York’s defense helps them grind out a win. Take the JETS and the UNDER.

Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys (-3.5)
Over/Under 47

Dallas is coming off a bye, but Atlanta is starting to pick up where they left off last season. This should be a close game either way so take the COWBOYS and the UNDER.

New Orleans Saints (-6.5) at Miami Dolphins
Over/Under 47

The Saints are not quite the same team outside the dome and could struggle a bit with Miami’s ground attack. Take the DOLPHINS to cover along with the UNDER.

Arizona Cardinals at New York Giants (-7)
Over/Under 46.5

After last week’s beatdown in New Orleans, New York will be ready to go this week. The Cardinals should be able to keep this one interesting for awhile. Take the GIANTS and the OVER.

Monday, Oct. 26

Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) at Washington Redskins
Over/Under 38

The Eagles need to quickly put last week’s embarrassing loss to the Raiders behind them. Look for a more balanced offensive attack from Philly this week. Take the EAGLES and the OVER.

While teams like Denver and New Orleans are grabbing all the headlines, perennial winners like New England and Pittsburgh are patiently waiting in the wings.

My plays of the week are the Steelers -3.5 and the OVER in the Bears@ Bengals game.
