NFL Betting – Week 7 Roundup

Week 7 in the NFL. The Weisguy takes over for Matt and offers up these recaps for your NFL viewing pleasure.

Atlanta 23 – Detroit 16

The Lions lose again at home and are staring to make the public question what they were so excited about two weeks ago.  Matt Stafford didn’t look right in this one with his worst game of the season.  He left the game limping and status for next week is questionable.

Denver 18 – Miami 15

Oh, no – Here comes Tebowmania.  The QB was uselssfor 80 percent of the game but engineers a couple of late drives to force overtime where the Broncos win it.  Is Miami the worst offense in the league?

Houston 41 – Tennessee 7

A complete drubbing here.  Arian Foster has monster fantasy day with more than 100 yards on the ground and receiving.  Houston once again looks like the top team in the AFC South.

Chicago 24 – Tampa Bay 18

Well the Brits weren’t exactly treated to football at its best.  The Bears win a sloppy turnover filled game thanks to another top performance from Matt Forte.  Josh Freeman is horrible but it makes it tougher when you only run for 30 yards total.

Cleveland 6 – Seattle 3

There is ugly football and then there was this.  Only 435 yards of total offense and not because the defenses were playing out of their mind.  How does Seattle already have two wins?

New York 27 – San Diego 21

Great win by the Jets as they come back against San Diego.  The Chargers last drive was the worst execution I have seen at the end of the game in a long time.  I though Phillip Rivers was supposed to be good – he looked like a freshman, in high school, out there as the time ticked down.

Carolina 33 – Washington 20

Cam Newton to Steve Smith…who would have thought it would be such a dangerous combo.  Happy to see the Panthers grab another victory (and cover).  Minnesota is next, I smell a winning streak.  P.S. I have been saying all season long that Washington isn’t very good. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Pittsburgh 32 – Arizona 20

A big game from Big Ben had Pittsburgh in control the whole way.  Pittsburgh is looking more and more like a serious contender.

Kansas CIty 28 – Oakland 0

Most shocking result of the weekend.  The Chiefs were actually outgained for the game but still pitched a shutout.  I need some help from the statheads to let us know if that is a record.  Carson Palmer is an ugmo.

Dallas 34 – St. Louis 7

As expected the Cowboys finally throttled someone.  The only surprise was the way they did with DeMarco Murray racking up more than 250 yards on the ground.  Taking the ball out of Romo’s hands is not such a bad strategy.

Green Bay 33 – Minnesota 27

Don’t let the final score fool you, this game was not that close as Minnesota scored the last 10 points for a meaningless backdoor cover.  The gap between Green Bay and others at the top may be widening.

New Orleans 62 – Indianapolis 7

I can’t remember the last time an NFL team scored 60 points can you.  Talk about a bounce back for New Orleans after last week’s loss to Tampa.  All that stuff about Indy keeping games close was for not.  Everyone on that team should be embarrassed.

Jacksonville 12 – Baltimore 7

No that is not a misprint above.  If you were watching the World Series Monday night you were spared the nausea induced by one of the most boring games of the season.  What happened to the Ravens?
