Free Week 12 NFL Totals Predictions

Its week Twelve of the 2009 NFL season and we pick and preview all of the week 12 matchups from an OVER/Under NFL betting perspective this season…

NFL Week 12 Betting Preview

The underdogs ruled the day for the third week in a row as ten teams covered the spread with four teams; Miami, Kansas City, Oakland, and Tennessee winning outright. Give credit to two AFC West teams; the Raiders and the Chiefs for pulling off the most improbable upsets. The home team fared well straight up with ten teams winning outright, but ATS only four homers got it done.

It was a good week for the under bet as ten games stayed under the total, five games went over, and there was one push; N.Y Jets@ New England with a line of 45.

Here is a rundown of all this week’s games and the current lines as supplied by MySportsbook.com.

Thursday, Nov. 26

Green Bay Packers (-10.5) at Detroit Lions
Over/Under 47.5

Green Bay’s win over the 49ers proved to be costly as they lost LB Aaron Kampman and CB Al Harris for the season with knee injuries. This game is Detroit’s Super Bowl so they will keep it close. The Lions and the UNDER.

Oakland Raiders at Dallas Cowboys (-13.5)
Over/Under 40.5

The Dallas offense has all but ground to a halt, while Oakland is coming off a big upset win over Cincinnati. Look for Tony Romo to get back on track in front of a national audience. The Cowboys and the OVER.

New York Giants (-6.5) at Denver Broncos
Over/Under 42

Denver is in serious jeopardy of seeing their season completely crash and burn if they cannot stop the bleeding in this one. The Broncos and the OVER.

Sunday, Nov. 29

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons (-12)
Over/Under 46

Both teams are actually 1-4 in their last five games, but Atlanta is still in the wildcard chase and is 4-0 at home. Tampa should be able to keep this game close. The Buccaneers and the OVER.

Miami Dolphins (-3) at Buffalo Bills
Over/Under 39.5

At 5-5 Miami still has a shot to make the playoffs while the 3-7 Bills are playing out the string. RB Ricky Williams is running like he is 22 not 32. The Dolphins and the OVER.

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals (-14)
Over/Under 39

Cincinnati needs to wipe the stink off of last week’s horrible loss to the Raiders, while the Browns are snake bit scoring 37 points last week against the Lions but still lost the game. The Bengals and the OVER.

Indianapolis Colts (-3.5) at Houston Texans
Over/Under 49

The Texans almost beat the Colts three weeks ago on the road but fell 20-17 when K Kris Brown missed a 42 yard field goal to tie the game as time expired. This time they get it done. The Texans and the UNDER.

Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings (-10.5)
Over/Under 47

Minnesota’s offense seems almost unstoppable, especially at home in the Metrodome where they average over 30 points a game. The Vikings and the OVER.

Carolina Panthers at New York Jets (-3)
Over/Under 41.5

Both teams are coming off losses that have pretty much ended their shot at the post season. The Jet’s offense is in complete disarray and their defense doesn’t scare anyone any more. The Panthers and the UNDER.

Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles (-9)
Over/Under 41

The Redskins are coming off a heart breaking loss to the Cowboys in a game they should have easily won, while Philadelphia needs a win to keep pace in the NFC East. The Eagles and the OVER.

Seattle Seahawks (-2.5) at St. Louis Rams
Over/Under 42.5

After a promising start, Seattle has sunk to 3-7 on the year. The Rams have played with a lot of heart but it hasn’t translated to any wins. The Seahawks and the UNDER.

Arizona Cardinals at Tennessee Titans Pick Um
Over/Under 47

QB Vince Young and RB Chris Johnson have led the Titans to four straight wins to turn their season completely around. Arizona is a perfect 5-0 on the road this year. The Titans and the OVER.

Kansas City Chiefs at San Diego Chargers (-14)
Over/Under 45

San Diego has won five straight games and is back on top in the AFC West. They beat the Chiefs 37-7 back in week seven, but this one could be closer. The Chiefs and the OVER.

Jacksonville Jaguars at San Francisco 49ers (-3)
Over/Under 41.5

After a 3-2 start, the 49ers have lost four out of the last five. Jacksonville, on the other hand has won four of five to move to 6-4 on the year. The Jaguars and the UNDER.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens (-3)
Over/Under NL

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger appears ready to go after taking a shot to the head last week as they need all the help they can get to avoid losing a third straight game. The Steelers and anything under 40.

Monday, Nov. 30

New England Patriots at New Orleans Saints (-3)
Over/Under 55.5

This could be one of the best games of the season, possibly a Super Bowl preview. New England will need an incredible effort to beat the undefeated Saints at home, but look for Brady and Co. to rise to the challenge. The Patriots and the UNDER.

Most of the key games to watch this week involve AFC teams as there are a couple of questions that need to be answered such as: Can the Colts keep winning ugly? Have injuries finally taken their toll on the Steelers? Will Denver ever win again? Can the Patriots end the Saints winning streak?
