Free Week 10 NFL Totals Predictions

Its week Ten of the 2009 NFL season and we pick and preview all of the week 10 matchups from an OVER/Under NFL betting perspective this season…

NFL Week 10 Betting Preview

If you were on the underdogs last week you should have cleaned up as 10 out of 13 teams getting points covered the spread. Six teams; Cincinnati, Tampa Bay, Arizona, Tennessee, San Diego, and Dallas all won outright and four teams; Kansas City, Houston, Miami, and Carolina lost but still covered the points. The under bet had a slight advantage with seven games staying under the total and six games going over.

Here is a rundown of all this week’s games and the current lines as supplied by MySportsbook.com.

Thursday, Nov. 12

(Byes: Houston, N.Y Giants)

Chicago Bears at San Francisco 49ers (-3)
Over/Under 43.5

In a short week both teams need to rebound from losing games they were expected to win. The 49ers defense at home will be the difference as Chicago is horrible on the road. The 49ers and the UNDER.

Sunday, Nov. 15

Atlanta Falcons (-1.5) at Carolina Panthers
Over/Under 44.5

At 3-5 the Panthers cannot afford too many more losses if they hope to make the post season, but their defense just gives up too many points. The Falcons and the OVER.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Miami Dolphins (-10)
Over/Under 44.5

Miami is the best 3-5 team in the league who has simply been a victim of a brutal schedule. Here is a game they should finally win big. The Dolphins and the UNDER.

Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings (-16.5)
Over/Under 47.5

Despite the fact that the Lions have looked horrible in the second half of almost all their games and the Vikings are coming off a bye, this is a huge point spread for a divisional game. The Lions and the OVER.

Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets (-6.5)
Over/Under 40

The Jets will look to get back to basics with Thomas Jones running the ball and playing hard nose defense. This should be enough against a very unpredictable Jacksonville team. The Jets and the UNDER.

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (-7)
Over/Under 42

The Steelers looked sharp in the second half against Denver on Monday night, but the Bengals have a knack for keeping games close, win or lose. The Bengals and the OVER.

New Orleans Saints (-14) at St. Louis Rams
Over/Under 50

This game pits the highest scoring team in the league against the lowest. I just cannot see the Rams hanging in this one no matter how bad the Saints would play. The Saints and the OVER.

Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans (-6.5)
Over/Under 40.5

The Titans are going for their third win in a row after a 0-6 start, as RB Chris Johnson should have another big day against Buffalo’s 32nd ranked run defense. The Titans and the UNDER.

Denver Broncos (-4) at Washington Redskins
Over/Under 36

The Broncos need to quickly stop the bleeding and the Redskins are just what the doctor ordered. Remember Washington actually played worse the second half of last season. The Broncos and the OVER.

Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders (-1.5)
Over/Under 36.5

Both these teams are better known for their off field drama than their actual play on the field. This is a tough one to call, but somebody has to win. The Raiders and the UNDER.

Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals (-9)
Over/Under 47

The Seahawks have a chance to close the gap to one game in the NFC West against a very inconsistent Arizona offense led by Kurt Warner. The Seahawks and the OVER.

Dallas Cowboys(-3) at Green Bay Packers
Over/Under 47.5

DeMarcus Ware and the rest of the Cowboys defense should have a field day against the Packer’s offensive line which is one of the worse in the league. The Cowboys and the UNDER.

Philadelphia Eagles at San Diego Chargers (-1.5)
Over/Under 47

San Diego is right back in the thick of AFC West race after Denver lost their second straight game. Phillip Rivers should be able to put up some big numbers against Philadelphia’s secondary. The Chargers and the OVER.

New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts (-3)
Over/Under 49.5

The Colts have been winning, but have not looked as sharp as they can. This could be a trap game for them as New England is starting to hit their mid season stride. The Patriots and the OVER.

Monday, Nov. 16

Baltimore Ravens (-10.5) at Cleveland Browns
Over/Under 40.5

At 4-4 the Ravens cannot afford to lose too many more games, especially to a team as bad as Cleveland. Look for Baltimore to take out their frustrations on the lowly Browns. The Ravens and the UNDER.

The highlight of week ten will be the Patriots at the Colts as once again this could be your AFC Championship preview. On the undercard, Cincinnati at Pittsburgh should be highly entertaining as well.
