The Rams, despite tying the 49ers in Week 10 have looked pretty bad at times and the Cardinals have fallen off the map during their six game losing streak. Pride is all that is on the line Sunday in this divisional matchup, jobs for next year may be too!

The St. Louis Rams have looked good at times this season and they have looked so bad at others. Still, Jeff Fisher seems to be building something good – the Rams have already eclipsed their win total from last year and definitely have some pieces in place.

Sam Bradford has been the leader of the “inconsistency club” so far. He and the Rams are 21st in the NFL in passing and they could be without their only spark this week Danny Amendola who was spotted with a walking boot around Rams practice facility. Without Amendola, St. Louis looks lost in the passing game and will likely be stuck in neutral against Arizona’s very good 5th ranked pass D.

St. Louis’s running game has really carried the team. They are 12th in the NFL with Steven Jackson turning back the clock and rookie Darryl Richardson doing his part. The Rams have a chance at Arizona’s 21st ranked run defense this week – the running game will likely be the key to victory.

Defensively, St. Louis has been OK and that’s where Jeff Fisher has made his mark. The Rams are 14th against the pass and 17th versus the run. They aren’t great but likely good enough against Arizona and starting QB……

Ryan Lindley will be Arizona’s Quarterback this week after John Skelton was benched last week and Kevin Kolb has been declared out. Not good for a team that has lost six straight. The Cards lost a close one last week – 23-17 on the road in Atlanta in a game that they generated five turnovers – BUT THEY STILL LOST!

The Cards own the 26th ranked passing game – poor Larry Fitzgerald – the QB play has been awful all season long.[soliloquy id=”82219″]

They also have the 30th ranked running games but should get Beanie Wells back in the fold – a sarcastic YAY for that move! The Cards are 30th in scoring with just 16.30 per game; they look out of sync and frankly not good at all!

It`s a good thing for defense. Otherwise the Cards would be even further down the standings. They are 7th in points against (19.60), fifth against the pass and 21st against the run. At least one unit is doing its job in Arizona!

Betting Prediction:

• The total has gone UNDER in 8 of St. Louis’s last 9 games when playing Arizona
• The total has gone UNDER in 7 of St. Louis’s last 8 games when playing on the road against Arizona
• The total has gone OVER in 4 of St. Louis’s last 5 games
• The total has gone UNDER in 11 of St. Louis’s last 15 games on the road
• The total has gone UNDER in 8 of Arizona’s last 9 games when playing St. Louis
• The total has gone UNDER in 7 of Arizona’s last 8 games when playing at home against St. Louis
• The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Arizona’s last 6 games
• Arizona is 10-2 SU in its last 12 games when playing St. Louis

Normally in a game between two bad teams I automatically take the home squad. But if anyone watched the Arizona/Atlanta game last week they would have seen a Cardinals team that doesn`t resemble an NFL squad on offense. The Rams aren`t great but they are at least NFL calibre. With Ryan Lindley at the helm the Cardinals are in for yet another very long day!

Pick: St. Louis Rams +1
