Steelers vs. Redskins MNF Spread

Point spread for the week 9 Monday night football NFL clash between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Washington Redskins plus the betting spreads, and betting trends for nfl football gambling…

NFL Monday Night Matchup – Steelers vs. Redskins

The Pittsburgh Steelers, fresh off of a loss versus the New York Giants, travel to Washington to take on another very tough, very capable, NFC East powerhouse in the Washington Redskins.

The Redskins have been a pleasant surprise for sportsbook betting fans so far this season by playing well enough to garner a 6 and 2 straight-up record. They are only a game behind the Giants in the NFC East even though the G-Men beat them in the first game of the season.

If the ‘Skins can keep this up, then they will definitely be considered one of the prime contenders for the NFC Conference crown.

The Steelers have been good enough to garner the second best record in the AFC Conference. They are already one of the favorites to win the AFC title. But for online betting fans, are they a good online bet as underdogs on the road tonight?

Let’s get to it!

NFL Monday Night Match-Up
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Washington Redskins

BetUS online betting spread: Steelers + 2 ½
BetUS online money-line: Steelers + 120
BetUS over/under: 37 ½ – 110

Against the spread: The Pittsburgh Steelers are without a doubt one of the top teams in the AFC. The Redskins are one of the top teams in the NFC. The problem with the Steelers is that they have suffered through some serious injuries during the season. Then again, the Redskins might be without their best player, Santana Moss in this. I love the way that the Redskins play – – old school, smash-mouth football – – but the Steelers just lost last Sunday to the New York Giants.

Monday Night Predictions:

I don’t see them losing two in a row.

I’ll take the Steelers in this at + 2 ½.

Money-line: The Steelers are an excellent money line bet at over even money in this game. Getting 20 bucks above the 100 money-line threshold is the kind of bet that online betting fans dream of. Pittsburgh is a good enough team to beat the Redskins and like I wrote above, the chances of this team losing two games in a row isn’t very good.

I’ll take the Steelers on the money-line at + 120.

BetUS over/under: The over/under is the one online bet that I just don’t like in this game. Nothing against either offense for either team, but in reality the Steelers and Redskins are both going to play well enough to score but not well enough to score a lot.

I’ll have to put my money on the under even though I’m very iffy about it in this game.

Good Luck!
