It should be December football weather in Green Bay for this one as we won’t be seeing the frozen tundra but we should be seeing some snow and whatever else mother nature is going to bring. This is they way it seems it was meant to be in Green Bay and what makes it a special place. There are certain teams who make football more fun when the are good and for a lot of fans it’s the Green Bay Packers. While as a fan the Pack aren’t my team, they have been a tea that has been delivering winners and covers for us a lot of the season, especially in the second half of the season. Last week they didn’t win outright but in losing by one they still managed to get the cover. Green Bay has been playing ell, arguably better than the team who beat them twice and leads the NFC North, the Minnesota Vikings. Aaron Rodgers is playing the best football of his career leading the Pack and he is in sync with his wide receivers which is opening up a running game which I still think doesn’t have enough depth. The defense has really come together as it is a mix of young and old and when we see players like A.J. hawks roaming the field, we can see the Packers have drafted well, better than I mistakenly didn’t give them enough credit for. Before last week’s one point loss, Green Bay had won five in a row to put them in prime positioning for a playoff spot.

The wheels are off the cart in Seattle and this has all of the making of a team about to be dismantled. The Seahawks were shellacked by a Tampa Bay Buccaneer team last week who came into tat game with just one win. Though the expectations were guarded coming into the season, the results have still been very disappointing and this will be a team that heads in a different direction in the future. They have a few key players who will continue on but my guess is those players are just few and far between. A lot of Seattle’s problems are because of the injuries at offensive tackle as they just can’t run the ball. Seattle runs the ball for less than 100 yards a game and when that is the case, it usually makes for a tired defense and a QB who is running around for his life while taking a lot of big hits.

This is certainly where the Seahawks are sitting right now.

Green Bay is 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four games as a favorite but they are just 2-10-2 against the spread in their last 14 as a favorite of 10 1/2 or more points. Seattle is 0-6 against the psread when playing a team with a winning record and 0-8 against the spread as a road underdog.

I really don’t like laying two touchdowns in an NFL game especially to a team that has many good players but we have some big issues in this one. Seattle seems to have packed it in and sitting out in what could be some real inclement weather on Sunday isn’t going to help team morale much. These are professionals and they will be playing for their jobs but I don’t like the way this one matches up for Seattle and I am going to do something I rarely do, lay the boatload of points.

Look for Green Bay to put on an offensive show against a depleted Seahawk team that just doesn’t have the horses to keep up with the Pack. 14 is a fairly large spread, but I’m giving the points in this one.
