Season Win Totals NFL Predictions – Denver Broncos 2014 Lines

Broncos Season Win Totals

The Denver Broncos only lost four games last year in the regular season and playoffs, but they didn’t end up accomplishing what they set out to do, which was winning the Super Bowl in NYC.

Peyton Manning set the single season TD record (55) last year and the offense will continue to roll on all cylinders in 2014. Offensively, the Broncos will be without Knowshon Moreno and Eric Decker.

Montee Ball will get a chance to be the starter now and I like him a lot. Emmanuel Sanders will replace Decker. Sanders hasn’t played up to the level of Decker, but he should improve with Manning.

Demariyus Thomas should have a career year now that Decker is gone and Julius Thomas should put up even better numbers at TE. There is little doubt that the Broncos will be the best offense again.

Last year they outscored everyone else in the league by 10 PPG, which is incredible. They won’t average 37.9 PPG again and the main reason for that is the Broncos have a tougher schedule to deal with.

When you look at the losses on defense some big names pop up including Shaun Phillips, Champs Bailey and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. However, they added some big names this off-season.

They drafted CB Bradley Roby while signing DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and T.J. Ward. The secondary will be better this season and with Ware lining up with Von Miller the front seven should be better also.

Ware had a down year in Dallas, but he should have better numbers in Denver. Teams won’t be able to double-team him with Miller on the other side of the field causing havoc for opposing offenses.

Last season Denver allowed 24.9 PPG (22nd) and 356 YPG (19th). They were shredded in the Super Bowl by the Seahawks as well. This unit on paper should be better and post better numbers.

Special teams were a problem for Denver last year as well. They constantly fumbled the football, but they should improve in that area this year and that’ll put less pressure on the offense.

2014 Denver Broncos Season Win Betting Prediction

Bet on Over 11.5 Games (+100)

The schedule is tough, as Denver has to play the NFC West. They play Seattle in week 3 on the road and then the 49ers in week 7 at home. Those will be two tough games, but I like them to beat SF.

They have a bye in week 4, so after that they’ll be playing every week. The schedule is tough, but Denver is the best offensive team in the NFL and the defense should be better than last year’s unit.

I have the Broncos winning 13 games again during the regular season. Manning has never had a problem posting big numbers during the regular season. The problem has always been during the playoffs.

I’d be surprised if Denver didn’t make it to the AFC Championship Game at the bare minimum. This team is a Super Bowl contender, but with aging veterans the window for winning is running out.
