The offseason has not been good to the San Francisco 49ers. The loss of their head coach compounded by the retirement, suspension and loss of several key players have basically left this team decimated and scrambling for answers.

Denver on the other hand is preparing for another run at the AFC West title and to see if they are still worth of being mentioned in the AFC Title race among teams like New England, Pittsburgh and Indianapolis.

It’s hard not to talk about the losses the 49ers suffered despite what they’re doing on the field. The team is excited about their corp of ball carriers led by Carlos Hyde and Reggie Bush.
Hyde reminded the team very much of the departed Gore which will help them play with the same style they’ve been accustomed to.
Also being talked about in the backfield is ex-Australian rugby star Jarryd Hayne, who has been nothing short of a highlight reel this preseason.

The focus should be on the defensive front for the Niners, who have no idea who is left to rush the opposing quarterback after the latest round of changes. Luckily for them, they still have a few guys left like young All-Pro Eric Reid in the secondary.
This one could turn out to be more of a mini tryout rather than a tune up at many positions.
Denver Broncos
With Brock Osweiler getting the bulk of first team reps with Peyton Manning resting this preseason, Broncos fans will get a big glimpse of their future as he continues to try to build chemistry with his receivers like Demaryius Thomas.
And while the starting ball carrier job may go to CJ Anderson again, Montee Ball is doing his best to get a realistic chance to start in Denver.

This team might be the best team on paper with a roster full of Pro Bowlers and All-Pros.
With the likes of Manning, Thomas, Demarcus Ware, Vonn Miller, TJ Ward and Chris Harris Jr, among others, the Broncos are geared towards making another run at glory in the wild AFC West.
