This year not so much with the Steelers a shell of their former glorious selves and the Patriots not exactly scaring opponents either.
Right now this game looks like a gimme for New England unless some of that Steeler pride reveals itself.

Pittsburgh
I think it is fair to say that things are going from bad to worse in Steeltown. Last week they lost to the Oakland Raiders. That is bad enough but it was also the way that they lost. It used to be that when things got their ugliest you just knew Pittsburgh would come through in the end, usually a result of Ben Roethlisberger making one of those plays that only he can.
Big Ben is not playing great but at the same time he is getting next to no help. The Pittsburgh running game is a joke this season and their defense is not nearly as good as it has been in years past. Put those two together and you just can’t count on the Steelers the way we used, not even to win. The future doesn’t look great either. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
We are going to have to change the way we have been programmed to think.
New England
Don’t be fooled by New England’s 6-2 record as this team could easily be 4-4 so far, which would make them tied with Miami. Over their last three games they beat New Orleans on the final drive, lost to the Jets and had to come back from 14 down to beat those same Dolphins last week.
The Patriots are not elite this season – Brady is having his worst season ever and the leach of receiving options is only part of the problem.
The best thing this team might have going for them this season is a defense that has proven to be very stingy this season – 5th in points allowed. They suffered a huge loss when Vince Woolfork went down but they were the only team to make a trade at the deadline so this team is not standing pat.
