This is an important game for both teams, especially Detroit who is going have a harder time making the playoffs because their division is significantly more challenging. In addition to the importance this should be one of the more entertaining games of the day on Sunday.

Two potent offense going at each other all afternoon.

Dallas

Dallas has won their last two games to take the lead in the NFC East. They are the third highest scoring team in the league and as long as QB Tony Romo doesn’t make those kind of game killing turnovers they can hang with any team in the league as they showed in their near defeat of the Broncos a couple of weeks back.

Romo and WR Dez Bryant and TE Jason Witten have been doing the heavy lifting on offense but with the return to the lineup of RB Demarco Murray the offense could find another gear.

They may need it too as the defense will be missing their top asset, speed rusher DE DeMarcus Ware who is questionable this week.

There is going to be a lot of offensive firepower on the field on Sunday and with the game indoors the conditions should be great for a shootout. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Dallas fell just short against Denver but they are capable of winning this one.

Detroit

Detroit and Dallas are built pretty similarly which is part of what makes this game so compelling. They both have gunslinging quarterbacks and each would make the argument they have the best receiver in the league (Calvin Johnson is better than Dez Bryant for the record).

The addition of RB Reggie Bush gives the Lions another great weapon to work with and when he is a running threat this offense can look very special.

Like Dallas the defense is not really holding up their end of the bargain though.

They have a few nice players on the defensive line, especially at defensive tackle but the back seven lacks a real playmaker and I don’t know how they are going to really cover Witten and Bryant, especially at the same time.

Still Detroit is the home team and I think that will count for just enough to get behind the Lions on Sunday. As log as you are getting them at -3.

Anything else and you could easily wind on on the wrong side so bet it now, though games on that number are often hard to move.

Spread Pick: Detroit -3
O/U Pick: Over
Score Prediction: Detroit 38 – Dallas 31
