N.Y. Giants vs. Chicago Bears NFL Gambling Prediction & Week 6 Preview

New York vs Chicago NFL Football Spread/Handicapping

The New York Giants are still the most confounding team in the NFL right now…is it possible they are really the worst team in the league? This week they travel to Chicago to face a Bears team that is trying to break from a two game losing streak so maybe New York is just what the doctor ordered.

The Giants have to win sometime right? Its just the law of averages?

If now if the time the folks in Chicago will be thinking that not much has changed this season.

New York

The Giants have been just terrible in every facet of the game thus far. They are giving up an astonishing 36ppg on defense which is putting a ton of pressure on QB Eli Manning and the offense and they are not delivering, at least not to their own team, thanks to Mannings 12 interceptions, not to mention all of the fumbles.

In his defense sometimes it is amazing he can even get the ball out of there at all with all the pressure he is facing. The offensive line has injuries and can neither pass or run block – they are averaging less than 60 yards per game which is atrocious. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

I keep expecting the team to snap out of it but they are essentially a third of the way in and showing no signs of doing so. I am not sure why they made the deal for LB Jon Beason from the Panthers but at least it shows they are not completely packing it in.

Chicago

The Bears are kind of a hard team to figure out at this stage of the season. With a 3-2 record they are currently tied with Detroit atop the NFC Central standings even though they have lost to the Lions already.

This year was supposed to be the season that QB Jay Cutler emerges but so far we haven’t seen that much though maybe that is going to change now that WR Alshon Jeffery is showing that he can be a weapon to compliment Brandon Marshall.

On defense they are giving up way too many points and relying too much on creating turnovers. I am actually getting sick and tired of seeing them trying to punch out the ball as opponents carry defenders for extra yards. When they get them it looks great but often times they are coming up short in that regard.

Though perhaps not against turnover prone New York.
