For New England, they showed that doubting the Patriots is always a poor choice as they went into Baltimore hobbled yet walked away with a dominating victory over a red hot Ravens squad.

The Bills were very impressive in beating Miami last weekend, their second win in a row.

It won’t mean much but it would be fantastic for their confidence heading into next year, especially their QB, if they could keep the winning going as they have not beaten New England since 2011.
These teams met in week 1 and the Bills almost got the victory in QB E.J Manuel’s first NFL game. In that one he was very poised and made good decisions but he is questionable at the moment for this one – he didn’t play last week..
Another reason the Bills almost got the victory was a running game that gave them some balance, just like they had last weekend against Miami. Against the Dolphins the defense really came up big too with multiple turnovers and 7 sacks.

Pressuring Miami QB Ryan Tannehill is much easier done than pressuring Tom Brady though.
New England
The Patriots have already clinched the AFC East but they can still improve their playoff seeding in this game with a win and a loss by the Denver Broncos – or fall if other teams win and they lose – so there is a lot at stake.
They will have an advantage of knowing what Indianapolis and Cincinnati have done but they are playing in the same time slot at Denver so there may be some scoreboard watching in New England – in fact you may want to watch too because if it looks like Denver is going to win out then it could affect what is happening in this one especially in the second half.
New England was impressive in throttling Baltimore last week, using an opportunistic defense to put points directly on the board late that probably inflate this line some.
The offense was not all that great and the Bills are actually pretty good on defense allowing the 8th fewest yards in the league this season.
I think New England will play this one pretty vanilla and see how the scores influence their motivation in the second half. They know Buffalo is not going to run away from them.
