The win was the second impressive one in a row and more and more the Panthers are looking like a real contender, especially with that great defense of theirs.

In Miami they are still actually in the playoff race despite doing their best to ruin a pretty good start to the season. A win this week would be pretty unexpected though.
Carolina
After a couple of close wins over good teams the Panthers get a little respite against two Florida teams before what could be a mammoth contest down in the Big Easy against the Saints. If this team is as good as it has shown lately this one should be a breeze.
The defense, which is first in the league in points allowed, should be able to bottle up a Miami attack that leaves a lot to be desired, and the offense led by QB Cam Newton will put up more than enough points to keep the winning streak going.
Last week against New England Newton was brilliant. He did everything you want your QB to do in terms of completing a high percentage of passes and not turning the ball over and when pressed he pulled off some of the most impressive scrambles you will ever see.

Right now he has it all working and he looks more comfortable than ever.
Whether they are up or down he seems to be letting the game come to him and he will be the difference in how far this team can ultimately go.
Miami
The Dolphins got an important win last week to pull even with the New York Jets and make themselves one of several teams still with a legit shot of making the playoffs in the AFC.
The next few weeks are going to make or break their season with the Panthers at home this week and then two road games against other contenders, the Jets and the Steelers.
If they are going to win they need to start getting better play out of QB Ryan Tannehill who has a TD/INT ratio of 14/11. On a team without much of a running game or big play capability that number just isn’t going to cut it.
The defensive numbers are OK, especially the one that counts the most – points allowed – where they are 12th.
I am not confident the Dolphins will be able to score many points against Carolina and their 25th ranked rushing defense will be tested over and over again.
