Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Gambling Prediction & Week 11 Preview

Atlanta vs Tampa Bay NFL Football Spread/Handicapping

Break up the Buccaneers right? All they did was get their first win of the season against a team getting torn apart from the inside so obviously they are on the right track now. Perhaps not but it is not like the Falcons are dominating either.

In a lost season just how low will you permit yourself to fall.

Atlanta

The Falcons have lost their last three games and none of them have been close. What might have looked like a sure fire way to break a losing streak a week ago now suddenly becomes a bit more of a challenge with the Bucs winning on Monday night.

The Falcons have been killed by injuries this season. They are the absolute worst running team in the NFL which means that it all has fallen on Matty Ice. When you are throwing as much as they are you want to have all of your weapons available but WRs Julio Jones and Roddy White have been out for significant chunks of the season(he is back now).

The only guy left is TE Tony Gonzalez but he has looked a little slow now that he is receiving triple coverage. All of this might have been OK if the Falcons could play some defense. They don’t, which is part of the reason they have lost by 14 or more points in their last three losses.

Let’s see if they have any pride left.

Tampa Bay

Tampa beat Miami last week by overcommitting to the run, which might be a good strategy again this week against Atlanta. This is a mildly talented team which is doing as much talent evaluation as anything right now.

So far I am not sure they or anyone else know what to make of rookie signal caller Mike Glennon. It looks like he has a strong enough arm but he doesn’t really look fluid out there, maybe because he is so long. Even though they won last week it was his worst game since his debut performance in terms of quarterback rating.

Call me old fashioned but aren’t you supposed to win because of your quarterback instead of inspite of him. Odds are with so many touted signal called in next year’s draft he may not be running his own team for long.

On defense Tampa can be pretty solid but they are better against the run than the pass. Since the Falcons have all but given up on moving the ball on the ground that advantage might not be as useful as it is against other opponents.

Spread Pick: Tampa -1
O/U Pick: Over
