Buccaneers vs Packers Week 11 Gambling Preview

How many experts projected that after clinching the Wild Card in the final game of last season and peaking in the postseason on their way to a Super Bowl championship, the Green Bay Packers would be even stronger when they returned to the field this season?

With nine wins through as many games, football fans in Wisconsin and around the NFL are already beginning to consider the “P” word, and while it is still early the Packers can move one step closer to that achievement with a win on Sunday afternoon against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

When asked about his performance and the outlook within the team, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers told reporters that they were not content. The Packers’ performance on the field is testament to that, as they have won all nine of their games in nearly every possible fashion.

If head coach Mike McCarthy needs the offense to put up big numbers, they can, as they have proved by scoring at least 42 points in four of their nine games.

If McCarthy wants to see the defense flex its muscle and play at an elite level, then they can, as they have illustrated by allowing a combined 10 points in two of their wins. The Packers are on track to exceed all expectations for this season, and the scariest part about it is that they seem to be improving and gaining even more confidence with every passing week. Enter the Buccaneers, who have dropped three straight with a bye week splitting those defeats and making it more than a month since the team won a game. The schedule doesn’t get any easier for a Tampa Bay team that will play five of their final seven on the road beginning with a trip to Lambeau Field.

The Buccaneers’ defense has severely struggled with injuries up front, allowing at least 24 points in each of their last three losses, and it doesn’t help that the Tampa Bay offense has ranked among the league-leaders in dropped balls and haven’t scored more than 18 in any of those games.

While the Buccaneers have struggled to put it together, the Packers look like they very well could run the table. Green Bay is destined to falter sooner or later, it just doesn’t like the defending Super Bowl champions will slow down anytime soon.
