Nick Foles came off the bench in Philadelphia’s last game against the Giants and completed 16 of 25 passes for 197 yards, including a pair of touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to lead the Eagles to victory.

Michael Vick ran for 79 yards and threw for 105 before exiting in the second quarter. DeSean Jackson led the way through the air, bringing in seven balls for 132 yards and a score. In total, the Eagles racked up 439 yards of offense, and Alex Henery booted a career-high five field goals.

The Eagle defense that has been a punching bag this season took a big step forward in the game, intercepting Eli Manning three times and forcing four total turnovers against the Giants. Manning completed only 24 of 52 passes in the game for 334 yards.

Tampa Bay had a little extra time to prepare for this contest as they’re coming off a bye. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

That will help them to be ready for Chip Kelly’s unique offense, which opponents haven’t had a lot of success trying to stop in previous contests. In their last game against Arizona, the unit intercepted Carson Palmer twice and the only touchdown they allowed came on a short field off a turnover.

Prior to the break, the team made the switch to rookie Mike Glennon at quarterback. Glennon was solid for the majority of the day, but he threw two crucial interceptions – one which led to Arizona’s only touchdown, and another which all but ended the game late in the fourth quarter. All in all, Glennon was 24 of 43 for 193 yards and a touchdown pass, connecting with Mike Williams from eight yards out. Running back Doug Martin entered the contest ranked second in rushing, but he was held to just 45 yards on 27 totes.

While the Eagles are a woeful 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 games, it’s tough to get behind an 0-4 Buccaneers team right now. Philadelphia will try to play fast, but with either a banged up Vick or Foles calling the shots, the Eagles could lean a little more heavily on their ground game, which means going against a solid Tampa Bay rush defense. When the Buccaneers have the ball, they likely won’t take to the air all that much, unleashing a heavy dose of Martin, which will help the clock keep ticking away.

The under is 7-0 in the Buccaneers’ last seven games versus NFC opponents.

The play: Under 45.5
