Quarterback Ryan Tannehill had himself a game in that one, completing 25 of 37 passes for 312 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. His favorite target on the day was top wideout Mike Wallace who caught six passes for 105 yards and a score. Running back Lamar Miller paced the backfield with 61 rushing yards on 15 totes. In total, the team generated 378 yards of offense.

On the other side of the ball, the Dolphins were very vulnerable to New England’s passing attack as Tom Brady threw for 364 yards and Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola combined for 23 grabs and 270 yards, but the unit tightened up in the game’s critical stages as new addition Michael Thomas came up with a huge interception to clinch the win late in the fourth quarter.

Buffalo was also able to generate a win in their last game as they travelled down to Jacksonville and came away with a 27-20 win over the Jaguars. Quarterback EJ Manuel threw for 193 yards and two scores with an interception, adding 37 yards and a score on the ground in the contest. Manuel’s services won’t be available to the Bills against the Dolphins though, as he’ll be relieved by Thad Lewis. The team will likely lean a little more heavily on their rushing attack which just churned out 198 yards against the Bill. Fred Jackson ran for 80 yards on 17 carries, while C.J. Spiler churned out 67 yards on 13 carries.

The Buffalo defense had a little more trouble with a Maurice Jones-Drew-less Jaguar offense than they likely expected too, but backup running back Jordan Todman ran for 109 yards on 25 carries and had four receptions for 44 yards. The pass defense surrendered three plays of 25 yards or longer. The unit did come up with some big plays though, forcing four turnovers and sacking Chad Henne five times.

Both defenses have looked good at times this season, but Miami has been vulnerable to the run and Buffalo has been vulnerable to the pass, so both sides should get their points in what should be a competitive game throughout.

The over is 9-4-1 in Buffalo’s last 14 games versus AFC East opponents.

The play: Over 42.5
