Green Bay’s last five games have been forgettable, with the team losing their star quarterback to injury and compiling an 0-4-1 record. The most recent loss was the worst of the bunch, a 40-10 drubbing at the hands of Detroit on Thanksgiving.

The final score actually looked a lot better than it could of after the team racked up two early scores off of turnovers.

The team’s offense looked terrible in the game, generating just 126 total yards. The ground game never got going, as running back Eddie Lacy’s production took a big step back, gaining just 16 yards on 10 carries.

The passing game wasn’t any better as Matt Flynn was never able to get on the same page as his receivers. He completed 10 of 20 passes for 139 yards with an interception.

The team’s defense was just as inept, although it needs to be pointed out that the Lions had control of the ball for 40:26. Detroit was allowed to rack up 561 yards of offense, and a lot of that came on the ground.

The team ran the ball 43 times for 241 yards and two scores, good for an average of 5.6 yards per carry. The lone bright spots on the day came via the unit’s four forced turnovers, two of which resulted in points.

Atlanta’s last game ended on a more positive note as the team gutted out an overtime win over Buffalo, 34-31.

Quarterback Matt Ryan threw for 311 yards and a score, completing 10 passes to Roddy White for 143 yards. Steven Jackson had one of his better days on the ground with the Falcons, rushing for 84 yards and a pair of scores.

The team’s defense struggled mightily again though, twice allowing the Bills to get into field goal range before pissing the ball away with fumbles.

The Falcons surrendered 195 rushing yards to the Bills, allowing Buffalo to compile a 6.3 yards per carry average and score three times. Bills running back C.J. Spiller ran the ball 15 times for 149 yards and a score.

The unit was also unable to get to rookie EJ Manuel who went the entire game without taking a sack or turning the ball over.

As bad as the Green Bay offense looked last week, they’ve had an extra week for Flynn to get re-accustomed to the playbook, and another dud for Lacy isn’t expected against a soft Atlanta defense.

The play: Green Bay -3.5
