Few would have predicted that the teams would have identical records through 10 games, but that is the case, and the winning side will be in a position to make some noise in the AFC North division.

The Steelers are coming off of one of their better performances of the season, beating the Lions 37-27.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had what was probably one of his better games of the season in that one, completing 29 of 45 passes for 367 yards and four touchdowns, adding another 12 yards on the ground.

The team needed a big effort from him as the Lions continued their trend of taking opposing ground games away. Running back LeVeon Bell carried the ball 18 times and was able to churn out just 36 yards in the contest, although he did add four receptions for 52 yards. Wide receiver Antonio Brown continued his strong play against a suspect Lions secondary, bringing in seven balls for 147 yards and two scores.

The team’s defense was hopeless in the first half, allowing the Lions to throw for better than 200 yards and score 27 points, 17 of which came in the final four minutes of the half, but they figured things out at the break and held the Lions scoreless in the second half.

Cleveland’s last game was an epic disaster.

The team’s defense did a great job against a typically potent Cincinnati offense, limiting them to just 224 yards of offense and 3.8 yards per play on the day, but the offense turned the ball over four times, with two of those turnovers getting returned for touchdowns.

The team’s offense was a little more focused on getting the ball to back Chris Ogbonnaya. He turned 14 touches into 99 yards, but did have a costly fumble that was returned for a score.

Quarterback Jason Campbell completed 27 of 56, but most of his completions were check downs, as he threw for 248 yards and a touchdown with three interceptions. The team’s lone bright spot came on a 74-yard passing touchdown from Campbell to wide receiver Josh Gordon in the third quarter.

Gordon brought in five balls for 125 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets in the game. Tight end Jordan Cameron caught six passes, but they went for just 29 yards.

The Browns have a lot to be proud about, playing competently in a season their front office tried to give away, but they’re running into a buzz saw right now in the form of a Steelers team that’s simply playing at a higher level right now.

The play: Pittsburgh ML +100
