An interesting component in this match-up will be the weather, which looks like it could be cold.

Both teams are healthy in this match-up although some of the Patriots have been limited, especially on the offense. Edelman, LaFell, Gray and Blount have all been limited this week, but should be good to go.

Owen Daniels is banged up for Baltimore and hasn’t practised, so he’s questionable. Tom Brady and the Patriots really turned their season around and they’ve been next to unstoppable for months now.

New England averages 257.6 PYPG (9th) and 107.9 RYPG (18th). The run game has had trouble in most games this season, but Brady has finally built some chemistry with his WR’s, especially LaFell.

Gronkowski is playing great as well right now and when he’s on his game he can’t be stopped by single coverage no matter who is on him. He’s simply too big to cover. He has to step up in the playoffs.

The Ravens defense has given up an average of 88.2 RYPG (4th) and 248.7 PYPG (23rd). The secondary played great last week against the Steelers and they were able to force turnovers, but this will be tougher.

On offense the Ravens will need another strong performance from Joe Flacco. He played a turnover-free game in the WC round. During the season the Ravens averaged 238.7 RYPG (12th) and 126.2 RYPG (8th).

Flacco needs to play well again because that’s how Baltimore will win this match-up. The Patriots have been allowing 239.8 PYPG (17th) compared to 104.3 RYPG (9th), so Baltimore will need to pass it.

I’ve also been disappointed with Forsett in recent games.

He had some big games earlier in the season, but he has come back down to earth lately and this isn’t an ideal match-up for him on the road.

4* Free NFL Picks: Baltimore Ravens vs. New England Patriots

I’m going to take a shot on the Patriots to cover the point spread. The public has been hitting the Ravens all week and I just don’t trust them. Flacco has proven to be a playoff QB, but I’ll side with Brady all day.

New England Patriots -7 (-110)

If the Patriots can put pressure on Flacco this game could be over very early. Brady isn’t going to turn the football over like Big Ben did last week. This may end up pushing, but the Patriots are the right side.
