NFL Week 15 Early Lines
With the end of the regular season on the horizon the oddsmakers are waiting a little longer to post the odds for some games on the Week 15 NFL sports betting schedule that involve a number of teams fighting for playoff spots.
The largest spread on the short list of early NFL odds for Week 15 is the Monday nighter between Cleveland and Philadelphia. The Eagles were left for dead a few weeks ago, but after knocking off the Cardinals and the Giants in their last two games it looks like Philadelphia isn’t quite done yet. Because of their tie, which makes their record awkward, the Eagles will likely have to run the table to have a shot at the postseason. They shouldn’t have any trouble getting another win this week as a 14-point favorite versus the struggling Browns who are on a 3 game loosing streak scoring only 21 points in the process. The Eagles have looked very impressive putting up 68 points in their last two wins, both over division leaders, with six TDs coming from Brian Westbrook.
In the AFC East the race for the division could go down to the wire, with New England, Miami, and the Jets all tied for the division lead at 8-5. The Pats head West to Oakland in Week 15 to take on the Raiders as a 7-point favorite. New England barely got past the Seahawks in Seattle last week, and they haven’t won back-to-back games since Week 8 which could make Oakland a smart underdog play this Sunday.
The Dolphins have won six of their last seven games to keep pace in the East but they head home this week to face a rejuvenated 49ers team. Miami is a 6.5-point favorite despite San Francisco reeling off two straight upset wins, beating Buffalo two weeks ago and knocking off the Jets last week. They’ll try to continue feasting on AFC East opponents as they travel to South Beach in what should be a great matchup.
The Jets dropped their second in a row after being upset by San Francisco last Sunday. New York hosts Buffalo this week, who they defeated 26-17 six weeks ago in a must win for the Jets. This is one of the games that the oddsmakers are taking their time going over before setting the odds, but expect the Jets to be favored, possibly quite heavily, when it does hit the board.
