Early NFL Odds For Week 13

If NFL betting trends are going to continue this week bettors need to pay close attention to the NFL betting odds. We preview the early Week 13 nfl lines…

NFL Week 13 – Early Look at this weeks Odds and Lines

With Thanksgiving coming up on the calendar this week there are three early games on the National Football League’s schedule for Thursday. That means those doing any NFL betting on the holiday contests will have to think about their picks a little earlier than usual.

If you’re looking for the biggest spreads from Week 13 then take a look at two of Thursday’s early games. Since the winless Lions play every year on the holiday a large spread in at least one Thanksgiving game should have been expected. And since Detroit is playing Tennessee the spread is even larger. The Titans may have lost their first game of the season last week, but they should easily get back on track this week against the lowly Lions as an 11.5-point favorite on the NFL odds.

However, that’s not the biggest spread for Week 13 – that distinction goes to the Seattle Seahawks / Dallas Cowboys matchup on Thanksgiving Day. The Cowboys’ offense finally woke up last week against the San Francisco 49ers in a 35-22 win. Seattle’s season of futility continued last week as they lost their fourth straight contest, falling to the Washington Redskins 20-17. Dallas is a 12.5-point favorite in Thursday’s game, but they’re 1-4 ATS this season when favored by 8.5 points or more.

The smallest spread available on the early Week 13 NFL odds is found in the Pittsburgh Steelers / New England Patriots game. The Patriots are right behind the Jets in the AFC East division race after last week’s 48-28 drubbing of the Miami Dolphins. Matt Cassel appears to finally be getting comfortable behind center after passing for 400 yards in each of his last two games, with three touchdowns in each contest. The Steelers are clinging to first place in the AFC North division thanks to their top-ranked defense. The Patriots have owned this matchup over the last decade, with a 6-1 record versus the Steelers since 1998, and they’re also 6-1 ATS in those seven games. In Sunday’s matchup the Patriots are currently pegged as a 1.5-point home favorite.
