Dallas has basically backed into this division title game with three losses in its last four games including a 20-7 setback to Philadelphia last Sunday as a one-point home favorite. It is now 8-7 straight-up on the year and a costly 5-9-1 against the spread. The total has stayed ‘under’ in nine of its first 15 games.

The big question for the Cowboys heading into this game is the health of Tony Romo’s throwing hand after he sustained a bad bruise in last week’s game. He is listed as probable, but there could be some lingering effects on his ability to throw the ball. His solid play has actually been the one constant on a team that has reeked of inconsistency over the past few weeks.

New York has already won the city championship with a commanding 29-14 victory over the Jets last Sunday as a three-point road underdog that helped set-up this division championship game. The Giants come in at 8-7 SU as well and are an even 7-7-1 ATS. The total has gone 8-6-1 in their 15 games this year. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Eli Manning showed-up just in time to save the Giants’ season with a strong performance last week after looking less than stellar in his team’s five losses in its previous six games. This one win could very well be the motivational change this team needed heading into the playoffs as the Giants have been streaky all year long.

The Cowboys are 0-5 ATS in their last five games against the NFC East and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. The total has stayed ‘under’ in four of their last five road games.

The Giants are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against the NFC East and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six home games. The total has gone ‘over’ in four of their last five games following an ATS win.

Head-to-head, Dallas is 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings and the total has gone ‘over’ in all five of those games.

Stick with the past trends in this series as New York rolls into the postseason with a big win at home that goes ‘over’ the total.

The Pick: New York 34     Dallas 23
