The Colts hold a two-game advantage in the AFC South coming into this game, while the Titans are on life support at 0-4 and in desperate need of a string of victories.

At the quarter pole of the NFL wagering season, QB Peyton Manning would most likely be the league’s MVP. He has thrown for 1,336 yards and nine touchdowns against just three interceptions on the season. The Colts have the #1 offense in the land, averaging 414.2 yards per game. Manning’s numbers are made all the more impressive for several reasons. His rushing attack only ranks 29th in the NFL at 84.0 yards per game, so he isn’t even getting much help from the running back stable of Donald Brown and Joseph Addai.

Aside from that, he is still getting used to life without WR Marvin Harrison, and Harrison’s replacement, Anthony Gonzalez, has been on the shelf for the L/3 weeks. However, in last week’s 34-17 victory against the Seahawks, Manning threw for another 353 yards and two more scores to give Indianapolis bettors an easy cover in its 34-17 victory.

Everything may be rosy in Indianapolis, but they’re far from great in the Music City. Even though this season has been a disaster for a team that went 13-3 a year ago, the Titans hit the lowest point that their franchise has been at in years when they were destroyed back Jacksonville 37-17 last week. The defense allowed 323 passing yards to Jags’ QB David Garrard, which has only compounded the problems for a unit that is allowing a league-worst 282.2 passing yards per game.

Tony Brown leads the team in sacks with two, so it’s pretty clear that everyone on the defensive line is feeling the effects of the loss of DT Albert Haynesworth in the offseason. Since narrowly covering the spread against the Steelers in the first week of the season, the Titans have yet to cash another winning ticket.

Questions are swirling about QB Kerry Collins and how much longer he should be quarterbacking the team. His numbers this year have been subpar (914 yards, five touchdowns, six interceptions), and former first round draft pick Vince Young has to be itching to put in some serious time for the first time in years.

These two teams have split the season series for the L/3 years SU, but the Titans have owned the sports betting proceedings in those years, going 5-1 ATS in the L/6. The ‘under’ is 7-1 in the L/8 clashes between these two squads. The oddsmakers have lined the Colts at -4, and have posted the ‘total’ at 45.5.
