With both exploding fingers and imploding dreams, these two teams need to write off what happened last season, and get their games going early this year. What better way to start than with a win in the first week of preseason.
New York
Sorry Giants fans, but I don’t think this is going to be your year either. Sure you may still possess the only player can beat Tom Brady, but that’s just not going to get it done this year. Eli Manning does have a plethora of receivers to target, but the running game leaves something to be desired.

Defensively this team looks fairly solid, even with the injury to Jason Pierre-Paul, the most promising defensive lineman on the team, this team should hold opponents to some fairly low scores. But the true weapons on this team lie on offense.

Odell Beckham Jr. leads the receiving corps. Alongside the likes of Victor Cruz, Rueben Randle, James Jones and last years surprise TE Larry Donnell, this team has some explosion waiting to happen. Throw in the backs Rashad Jennings and Shane Vereen, and you have a nice little offensive unit. Let’s just hope Eli can stay healthy, or this all goes out the window.
Cincinnati
The Bengals have had the right weapons to get a bit of notoriety in this league, but they have a whole lot of failures come playoff time, which has given them the moniker the Bungles. This year looks to be a lot like the past, nothing against Andy Dalton, but seriously, the front office needs to get him a bit more help on the offensive side of things.
No team can win on a good QB and an amazing WR alone, A.J. Green. Mohamed Sanu, and Tyler Eifert can make some plays here and there, but Green is and always will be the main target for Dalton. And teams just can’t win that way.
Defensively this team is nothing to write home about either, but K Mike Nugent can keep the offense alive on drives that sputter out before the endzone.

All in all, it looks like this team should expect more of what has happened over the past few years. No depth at all equals a long season for the fans.
