NFL Monday Night Preview

Sports betting fans probably weren’t planning on watching this game as the Green Bay Packers have been eliminated from the playoffs and the Chicago Bears, as long ago as Sunday morning, were on the cusp of being eliminated from the playoffs.

Now, because of Minnesota’s home loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, the Bears are right back in the middle of the NFC North Divisional title chase. Online football betting fans won’t be surprised to see that the Bears are favored at home even though they were pummeled the last time these two teams met 37 to 3. The Bears have begun to play well.

They need to keep it going.

Let’s get to the NFL Monday Night game!

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears
Kick-off: 8:15 pm est.

Against the BetUS online betting spread: Packers + 4
BetUS Money-Line: Packers + 180
BetUS Total: Over 40 points

Against the Spread: Yes, the Bears are playing well and the Green Bay Packers are not but the Packers dominated the Bears 37 to 3 the last time these two teams met. What has changed to make the Bears a better team in this game? Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Grant, Greg Jennings and Donald Driver can still put up points for the Pack and Green Bay’s defense is good enough to hold Matt Forte and Kyle Orten at bay. I believe the Packers are an excellent bet against the BetUS Sportsbook online wagering spread at four points. It wasn’t too long ago that Chicago had no chance to make it to the playoffs and Green Bay was a sure thing.

Money-Line: The Green Bay Packers are at + 180 to beat a team that they absolutely throttled earlier in the season. The reason I want to make that point is because even though the Packers don’t appear to be playing for anything in this game, they are going up against their most hated rivals, the Chicago Bears. These games are always difficult to call. Green Bay has dominated Chicago recently against the BetUS online NFL betting spread going 7 and 2 in the last 9 meetings. Why not take a swing and make that a straight-up BetUS money-line online wager?

Total: The Over is 9-2-1 in the Green Bay Packers last 12 games on the road. The Over is 20 and 7 in the Chicago Bears last 27 games at home. Even though the Bears are considered a good defensive team, we shouldn’t kid ourselves. The Bears defense isn’t nearly as effective as some might think. Sure, they’re not a bad defense, but good? No, I’m not buying it. The defensive front of the Chicago Bears has to be tired, it’s going to be cold, and that Green Bay offense still has some punch. Orten and Co. are going to have to put up some points for Chicago in order to have a chance in this game.

Monday Night Football Prediction:

That’s why I like the BetUS total to go over.

Good Luck!
