Kansas City vs. Philadelphia NFL Football Spread/Handicapping
Interesting game here between Kansas City coach Andy Reid and his former team the Philadelphia Eagles. Heck any game featuring the Eagles is pretty darn interesting these days but this one should have an extra level of interest and energy.

Clearly Reid has made an impact in K.C. as they have won their first two games of the season while the impact of new Eagles coach has been felt in so many ways their record is almost secondary right now (maybe not for fans).
These teams couldn’t be more different in terms of style which should make this one a very entertaining Thursday night treat.
Kansas City
Not much to complain about in Kansas City right now. They made easy work out of Jacksonville in the opener and won a close game against Dallas last week to build a 2-0 record heading into Philly.
Coach Reid is not really a “ra-ra” guy but you have to believe it is going to be at least a little personal for him Thursday night – no matter what he says. Through a couple of games the Chiefs have been getting it done primarily on defense.
The Jags are a complete mess so there is no surprise they shut them down but it was more impressive the way they controlled the Cowboys pass happy attack last week. Kansas City has a nice corps of young dynamic defensive players like Tamba Hali and Eric Berry and they are going to need a total effort on that side to thwart the Eagles tonight. I hope they are in shape and ready for it. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
Philadelphia
After Week One we were all supposed to be on notice of how Chip Kelly system and the Eagles were going to revolutionize the NFL. After Week 2 we are not so ready to grant him an armful of Lombardi trophies so quickly.
Over the course of those two game’s Kelly has shown that his schemes can produce some big offensive days. RB Shady McCoy was unstoppable in the opener and WR Desean Jackson shredded the Chargers last week showing the potential of the offensive system.
But in both games the defense was a liability giving up an average of 30ppg. They just can’t seem to tackle anybody and against the pass they are especially inept with a completely overhauled secondary.
I am bullish on the Eagles long term prospects, including tonight, but really they are an experiment where the results have yet to be completely tabulated. Whether they are good or bad remains to be seen but at the very least they will be entertaining.
