The Colts missed a golden opportunity last week against Houston. It would have been so exciting to see them put pressure on Houston with a road victory but probably a little premature in the team’s building process.
They are still in great shape and I believe they can clinch a playoff berth this weekend with a victory…
The Colts didn’t play badly last week they just kept coming up short. The good thing is that they didn’t kill themselves with penalties and turnovers showing that this team is unlikely to crack under pressure even though it has inexperienced leadership.

Indy shouldn’t have to do much more this week than play its game against KC…
With a few minutes left it looked like the Colts were going to cover again, which would have been 4 in row and 8 of 9. If you lost as a result take some solace that it probably brought the number this week down to an even more manageable option. Just get on the Colts soon as this one has nowhere to go but up throughout the week.
Kansas City
The Kansas City Chiefs hit an on the field low last week losing 15-0 to the Oakland Raiders. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
The team’s struggles are well documented with the shutout being a sharp reminder that this team has been pretty awful offensively.
They are last in the league in points per game and have topped 9 points just once in the last month…
The one thing the Chiefs do well is run the ball with Jamaal Charles. Charles is among league leaders in rushing and averages just under 5 yards per carry.
When they are forced to throw, which usually happens when you are losing, the Chiefs struggle. Those struggles should be worse with leading receiver Dwayne Bowe sidelined for the rest of the season…There is no possible way you can bet the Chiefs with any kind of confidence.
The fact that they don’t score is well documented and their defense hardly shuts down opponents either. The most you could hope for is an emotional performance in their last home game but I wouldn’t count on it.
