Its too bad the Colts couldn’t have stolen the previous matchup making this one the best game of the week by far. As it is it could add some intrigue to a potential playoff matchup if the Colts win, even with the Texans having little to play for.

Houston
The Texans have already clinched their division but by my math they still need this one to improve their playoff seeding. Win and they are guaranteed one of the top two seeds in the AFC, lose and they could drop all the way to third and playing on the first weekend. It will be an interesting test to see how this team responds…Houston needs every advantage they can get so I expect a max effort from the Texans. Most importantly they need to get Arian Foster going again.

In three of the last 4 games he has rushed for 46 yards or less.
The lone shining example was a 165 yard performance against the Colts so look for them to feed him the rock a ton on Sunday again…Given that Houston is the better team and has more to gain the -7 seems justified.
For them to achieve it though they need to get on top early and ride this thing out, forcing Indy to consider whether they bleed for 4 quarters to try and win the game. I think this could be a good one to stay away from because if Indy jumps to the lead then who knows how it will go. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Nice rebound by Indy last week after losing to Houston the week before – yes they are playing each other for the second time in 3 weeks.
Sure it was only Kansas City but a win is a win in the NFL. Now they get a chance to go after Houston on their own home turf which I am sure they are looking forward to. This game might not mean a ton to the actual playoff picture but it should be reasonably electric in Indy…
Andrew Luck has more than 4000 yards with a game still to go and that is despite the fact that he has not thrown for more than 205 yards in the last three weeks. This kid is good and I like the development of fellow rookie T.Y. Hilton whose video game moves gives the offense a nice dimension.
I am looking for a nice strong finish in front of the home crowd for this squad…The Colts ATS and SU records are tracking perfectly both are 10-5. Is that a trend, I don’t think so but I like the upset potential in this one.
Luck can continue to grow his legend and maybe lock-down rookie of the year with an impressive performance and victory. Don’t forget about the emotional lift of getting their coach back too.
