Week 17 NFL Betting Parlay – Browns vs. Steelers, Lions vs. Vikings

NFL Parlay of the Week

The favorites carved out a slight 9-7 edge against the spread in Week 16 of the NFL regular season with the total staying UNDER in 11 of the 16 games on the slate.

I have already dug deep into the numbers for all of this Sunday’s matchups in the final week of the season to uncover a couple of gems that come together perfectly for this Sunday’s parlay based on lines provided by [dfads params=’groups=63740&limit=1&return_javascript=0′].

Game 1: Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Pointspread: Pittsburgh -7.5
Total Line: 44
ATS Matchup Stats | NFL Gambling Insight!

The Browns have to be happy that this season is finally coming to a close after a current six-game slide dropped their overall straight-up record to just 4-11. Other than a one-point loss to New England in Week 14, they have not been all that competitive during this slide with an 11.8 point margin of defeat.

Cleveland has failed to cover in five of the six losses as part of an overall record of 6-9 record against the spread.

Pittsburgh needs some major help to avoid missing the playoffs for the second straight year, but it all starts with a victory on Sunday. It is coming off back-to-back victories over Cincinnati and Green Bay both SU and ATS and playing some of its best ball of the season on both offense and defense.

The Steelers have won six of the last seven meetings SU in this AFC North Division rivalry and they have a 4-3 edge ATS over the Browns.

They should meet little resistance this time around in a lopsided victory that easily covers the 7.5-point spread.

Game 2: Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings

Pointspread: Minnesota -3
Total Line: 52
ATS Matchup Stats | NFL Gambling Insight!

After climbing to 6-3 SU with a Week 10 victory over Chicago, the Lions have completely collapsed down the stretch with just two wins in their last seven games. Detroit has lost its last three games both SU and ATS and it is just 2-7 ATS in its last nine games.

Sloppy play and costly mistakes have finally caught up with one of the most underachieving teams in the league. Jim Schwartz is most likely coaching his last game so it remains to be seen how much effort and enthusiasm his teams brings into this season finale.

Minnesota has only won four SU games all season long, but the last three have come in the friendly confines of Mall of America Field including impressive victories over Chicago and Philadelphia.

While the Vikings’ defense has had its share of problems especially against the pass, their offense continues to find ways to put points on the board with an average of 25.1 points a game.

The OVER on the total line could be one way to go in this NFC North matchup, but I have the Vikings covering the three points at home in the back-end of this parlay.

They have 6-4 SU edge in the last 10 games against Detroit and a 3-1-1 record ATS in the last five.
