Atlanta (2-9) just hasn’t been able to live up to its preseason expectations, and after losing pro wideout Julio Jones for the season, has dropped five straight games.

The offense hasn’t been able to do much of anything as quarterback Matt Ryan, who was predicted to have a monster season, has struggled after the loss of his primary target.

It was just another blow after already being without Roddy White for a large part of the year.

But while there are plenty of excuses for the Falcons’ dismal season, it doesn’t change the fact that they are in last place in the NFC South.

They have talent and need to find a way to use it.

Meanwhile, the Bills (4-7) will lose the home field advantage that the Ralph Wilson Stadium is known for, as they host the Falcons at the Rogers Centre, a place where they were routed by the Seahawks last year.

However, Buffalo ended a three-game losing streak last weekend with a 37-14 win over Jets.

Rookie quarterback EJ Manuel passed for 245 yards and two touchdowns, while the Bills’ defense put on a show, generating four turnovers including three interceptions, two that resulted in scores.

The Bills will need another solid outing on Sunday against the Falcons, who although having been awful this season, hold a slight edge statistically and have more dome playing experience.

Matt’s Free Prediction

The Bills have been the better team this season, but I think this game is close and I will take the points with the “road” team.

Bills 20, Falcons 17
