The Seattle Seahawks will look to keep their roll going on Sunday when they travel to Kansas City to take on another team on a winning streak – the Chiefs who have strung together four straight victories.

The game will feature two of the best running games in the league – Jamaal Charles of the Chiefs will try to best Marshawn Lynch of the Seahawks.
Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks are finally starting to resemble the team that won it all last year – an impressive three game win streak has seen the team return to the smash-mouth brand of football that had them top of the heap last year. Seattle is finally running the ball with confidence and the defense seems to have turned a corner in the last couple of weeks.
Absent during Seattle’s two game losing streak earlier this year against the Cowboys and the Rams was a running game that was tops in the NFL last year. But recent games have seen them return to a reliance on a rushing attack.
This fact is best exemplified but their 38-17 win against the Giants in Week 10 – the team went off for 350 yards on the ground – 140 yards and 4 TDs from Marshawn Lynch and 107 yards from Russell Wilson. Lynch now has six TDs in his last two games and Wilson has three-100+yards on the ground this year.
Seattle’s passing attack hasn’t been great but it hasn’t had to be. Expect the rushers to play a key roll again Sunday against KC’s 19th ranked run defense allowing 115 yards per game.
As mentioned the Seahawks defense has re-emerged in the last three games – giving up a total of 43 points in their last three games combined. Over that span they have created seven turnovers – something sadly lacking in Seattle’s first six games of the season.

The key for Seattle will to be to stop Jamaal Charles – they have been one of the best at stopping the run this year – allowing about 80 yards per game to their opposition on the ground. The Hawks are getting healthier on defense as well and the results are getting better because of it.
Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs have won four straight games – their success is also tied to the running game. Charles is arguably the only real threat on the KC offense – teams stack the box against him and he is still one of the best pure runners in the game.
He has eight TDs on the year despite missing a couple of games. It begs the question – how is this team still successful with one real threat on offense?
Charles will be in tough this week against one of the best run defenses in the NFL the last couple of years. This game could come down to KC’s average passing game – not the news fans of the Chiefs want to hear.
Alex Smith won`t lose you a game but it is awfully difficult to trust him to win you a game either.
It it`s not Jamaal Charles, the onus will be on the Chiefs defense on Sunday. The team has been average against the run but best in the NFL versus the pass. That said Seattle likely won`t throw a lot – the run defense will have to be the star Sunday.

The Chiefs haven’t given up more than 20 points since Week 5 and have given up just 60 total points in their last three games overall.
