Simply put everything is going right for the Cowboys – a five game win streak has them looking like a legitimate threat in the NFC. The Giants on the other hand looked to be reaching a level of respectability before posting a bagel in Philadelphia last week.

Will the seemingly inevitable Cowboys collapse commence Sunday of will the G-Men continue their slide from contention? Let’s break it down.

Giants

The New York Giants entered last week’s showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles on a high – three straight wins and a new lease on life. Then came the 27-0 beat down in a game that they lost Victor Cruz for the season and a game that Eli Manning was constantly harassed en route to a whopping 151 yards passing.

The loss of Cruz, the ineffectiveness of Andre Williams and the running game, the lack of pressure the defensive line was able to generate and the brutal play of the offensive line that allowed six sacks on Sunday has a lot of people leaping off the G-Men bandwagon – me included.

At least first-round pick Odell Beckham exists and the Giants should get the NFL’s seventh leading rusher Rashad Jennings back – but if the O-line doesn’t do its job, then none of that will matter!

New York’s defense, despite signs of becoming a force again is still in the bottom third in the NFL – 22nd and allowing 378 yards per game. This unit will have to play far beyond their potential or this game could be a blowout!

Cowboys

Shocked. Amazed. Blown away – all terms to describe what most feel about the Dallas Cowboys after six weeks of the season.

DeMarco Murray is healthy and has tied the legendary Jim Brown with six straight 100+ yard rushing games to start the season and Tony Romo is taking care of the ball and getting it to perhaps the best pass catching tandem in the league right now – Dez Bryant and Terrence Williams.

The much maligned defense has been terrific despite a no-name cast of characters.

How good have the Cowboys been? Let’s analyze some numbers from last week’s game in Seattle – the most difficult road building in the NFL to play.

The Boys ran for 162 yards against the best rushing defense in the NFL, Dez Bryant and Terrence Williams make the Legion of Boom look ordinary and the Dallas defense allowed Seattle just 206 yards of total offense in the win – Incredible!

Now Dallas gets a crack at a New York defense that allowed Philadelphia 203 rushing yards last week and generated ZERO pressure on the quarterback.

On paper, this looks like an easy task for Tony Romo and company especially if Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is forced to sit once again with his back issues.

NFL Week 7 Betting Trends

• Under is 7-2 in NYG last 9 vs. NFC.
• Under is 15-6 in NYG last 21 road games.
• NYG are 3-7 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
• Over is 7-3 in DAL last 10 vs. NFC.
• Over is 23-11 in DAL last 34 games in October.
• Over is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings.
• Road team is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings.

This game shouldn’t be close although stranger things have happened! Dallas is just too hot in all phases of the game to be denied.

NFL Week 7 Betting Prediction

The Giants are 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five meetings with Dallas but that streak comes to an end Sunday. Take the Cowboys in a walk!
