Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco would love if all his games went like the last one. Flacco threw for five touchdowns and posted a 146.0 quarterback rating in a 48-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with each of those touchdown passes coming in the first 16 minutes and three seconds of the game, a record for the quickest quarterback to five touchdown passes in league history.

The Ravens scored on each of their first six possessions in the game, with Flacco connecting with Torrey Smith for a pair of those touchdowns. Smith finished the game with five catches for 110 yards. Running back Justin Forsett ran the ball 14 times for 111 yards.

The Ravens currently sit atop the AFC North at 4-2, and now get a Falcons team that has dropped each of its three road games this season. The Falcons had high hopes after winning their first game of the season against the divisional rival Saints, but they’ve been lousy since then.

Quarterback Matt Ryan completed 19-of-37 pass attempts for 271 yards with a touchdown and an interception in a 27-13 loss to the Chicago Bears. The Falcons gained only 287 yards of offense in that game while allowing the Bears to rack up 478.

Ryan and the Falcons offense will be looking to gain ground against a Ravens defense that certainly isn’t playing like the dominant units we’re used to seeing come out of Baltimore. The Ravens are surrendering 361.2 yards per game, which places them squarely in the middle of the field this season.

Free Baltimore vs. Atlanta Pick:

The Ravens are the better squad in this one, and they have the luxury of getting this game at home, where they are so dominant. The Falcons haven’t been good at all when taking to the road, and this one should be no different.

Additionally, both sides should find ways to put up points, which makes the over worth a look in this one. The Falcons’ defense is terrible right now and gets a Ravens offense that comes in hot.

NFL Week 7 Trends

  • The Ravens are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six games after racking up 150 or more yards rushing in their previous game, and they are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
  • The over is 4-0 in the Ravens’ last four games against opponents with a losing record, and it is 8-3-1 in the Falcons’ last 12 games after the team scored 15 points or fewer in their previous game.
