The Saints snapped an 0-2 start to the season with a win in their home opener a week ago, while the Cowboys have won back-to-back games after losing their season-opener.

The Cowboys have won back-to-back games thanks to a solid comeback victory over the St. Louis Rams a week ago. The team wiped out a 21-points deficit to come away with a 34-31 victory. Their reward: a date with Drew Brees and the Saints, who blew the Cowboys out 49-17 last season.

The Saints’ offense hasn’t been quite as advertised in the early going this season, but getting to face a lousy Cowboys defense that they ripped apart a year ago will be a welcome bon. Brees threw for 392 yards and four touchdowns in that game, even completing 19 consecutive passes in one stretch.

The Cowboys allowed a franchise record 625 total yards in that one, and have now allowed an average of 37.7 points per game in dropping three in a row against this Saints squad.

Drew Brees is 71-for-94 for 838 yards with seven touchdowns and no interceptions in his last three against the Cowboys. There’s also some unrest on the Cowboys defense which won’t help their cause, as former first-round cornerback Morris Claiborne left the team for a day after losing his starting spot.

The Saints gave away a 13-poitn lead in Atlanta in their opener, then fell to the Cleveland Browns on a last-second field goal in Week 2, but bounced back to down Minnesota 20-9 last week. The Saints surely weren’t happy with their offensive output in that one, though.

The Saints scored touchdowns in each of their first two possessions against the Vikings, but failed to find the end zone again the rest of the way.

Tight end Jimmy Graham continues his elite output from the position, compiling a team-high 24 receptions, a number which also ranks him atop all tight ends in the league.

Free Cowboys vs. Saints Pick:

Both teams know how to score the football, and neither team’s defense has been particularly effective. The last time the teams met the scoreboard operators could barely keep up with the offensive pace the Saints were setting, and while the venue changes, this game will still be indoors which figures to mean plenty of points.

The over is 24-10 in the Saints’ last 34 games after allowing fewer than 15 points in their previous game, and it is 5-1 in the Cowboys’ last six games following a win.

The over is also 4-1 in the Cowboys’ last five games in Week 4, and 4-1 in the last five meetings between these teams.
