NFL Football Picks: Handicapping Angles – Week 7 Free Parlay

Week 7 FREE NFL Parlay Picks

New England came through in the front-end of last week’s NFL two-team parlay, but the New York Giants’ offense never showed-up last Sunday night against Philadelphia in a 27-0 loss that I had going OVER the closing 50-point total.

All that simply means is that it is back to the drawing board to start breaking down this week’s NFL matchups for a two-team play that will get me back to my winning ways. The following are this week’s two picks based on betting odds from BetOnline.

Game 1 – Miami Dolphins vs. Chicago Bears

Week 7 NFL Pointspread: Chicago -3
Total Line: 49

Miami trails the Patriots in the AFC East by a game and half at 2-3 on the year, but you get the feeling it might as well be five games after last Sunday’s heart-breaking 27-24 loss to Green Bay as a 1.5-point home favorite with just seconds left to play.

You also get the feeling that this team is snake-bit with two steps back for every one step it takes forward. The Dolphins now have to quickly regroup to face another NFC North team, but this time around it is on the road.

The Bears are one game in back of both Detroit and Green Bay in the division title race at 3-3.

They have been up and down all season long, but they are coming off one of their best efforts in every phase the game after taking down Atlanta 27-13 as three-point road underdogs this past Sunday.

Chicago still has one of the most potent passing offenses in the league behind Jay Cutler and it will be going-up against a Dolphins’ defense that is ranked 22nd in the NFL in points allowed (24.8).

4*NFL Parlay Pick: Take the Bears at home any lay the three points in this one.

Game 2 – Carolina Panthers vs. Green Bay Packers

Week 7 NFL Pointspread: Green Bay -7.5
Total Line: 49

Carolina is coming off a rare 37-37 straight-up tie against Cincinnati last week as a seven-point road underdog to move to 3-2-1 on the year which is good enough for first place in the NFC South.

The one thing that has been missing this year from a Panthers’ team that won the division last season at 12-4 is a shutdown defense that was one of the best in the league.

In its place is Cam Newton and an offense that is consistently finding ways to put points on the board with an average of 23.5 a game.

[dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers told everyone to relax after the team’s shaky 1-2 start, but he still has not made a believer out of me that Green Bay is one of the elite teams in the NFC this season despite its current three-game winning streak.

The veteran quarterback has done a good job getting his team into the end zone as well with an average of 26.8 points a game, but its rushing attack has been non-existent so far and the Packers’ defense has not found a way to stop the run.

I could make a parlay play out of this game alone with Carolina and the points as one pick and the OVER on the total has the other.

4*NFL Parlay Pick: I will stick with the total line play as the back-end of this week’s two-team NFL parlay play.
