Two out of three ain’t bad, but let’s see if we can top our Wild Card output by nailing three picks in our Divisional Playoff NFL parlay this week.

Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Saturday, January 15, 4:30 p.m. ET
NFL betting favorite: Steelers -3.5

Will there be an actual “winner” in this matchup? I assume whatever team emerges from this smashmouth war will be half dead for the AFC Championship game. This is a tough one to call; each team beat the other on its own turf; each team is especially strong against the run but beatable against the pass in the right situation.

The Ravens have undoubtedly matured offensively. Joe Flacco showed against Kansas City last week that he’s no longer just a caretaker in this offense, throwing for 265 yards and two touchdowns. But it will be interesting to see what happens when the Steelers force the ball into his hands. Pittsburgh’s run defense is unbelievable. It allowed a league-low 62.8 yards per game this year; the second-lowest average was 90.1! That doesn’t bode well for Ray Rice.

This game could be decided by a field goal but I think Pittsburgh will force Baltimore to play its game – and Troy Polamalu will make a big play, just like he did on Flacco the last time these two teams met.

Prediction: Steelers 23, Ravens 20

Seattle Seahawks vs Chicago Bears

Sunday, January 16, 1:00 p.m. ET
NFL betting favorite: Bears -10

Anyone else have a weird feeling about this game? Seattle beat the defending Super Bowl champs last week. As much as people like me dumped all over them, we have to give them credit for what they accomplished. Also, this Seattle team beat Chicago at Chicago already this season.

I still think the Bears’ defense is too ferocious for Seattle to handle. It ranks second against the run whereas New Orleans was 16th. Marshawn Lynch will have a tougher time finding Beast Mode this week. I still think Seattle will hang around better than expected – especially since the Bears very quietly had just the 30th-ranked offense in the NFL this season. The Seahawks may cover. But a cross-country road game in bad weather is too much to overcome.

Prediction: Bears 27, Seahawks 20

New York Jets vs New England Patriots

Sunday, January 16: 4:30 p.m. ET
NFL betting favorite: Patriots -9.5

Eek. That’s a pretty big spread against the NFL’s No. 3 defense. Not that I think New England won’t cover it.

When it comes to spread betting, points are what matter most, agreed? The Patriots averaged 32-plus points per game this season and the next closest team was at 27 and change. They scored at least 31 points in each of their final eight games despite facing the NFL’s second, third, fifth, sixth and ninth-ranked defenses over that stretch.

The Patriots are matchup-proof. They covered the spread in five of their final six games. Tom Brady through for 36 touchdowns with just four picks this season. He just might be playing the best football of his career right now. He’ll expose the Jets’ defense as overrated. Sure, New England has had some troubles against the pass this season, but Mark Sanchez in the cold isn’t the man to exploit that weakness.

Prediction: Patriots 30, Jets 17
