This season the Bears are 6-6 ATS with an Over/Under record of 7-5 and the Vikings are at 4-7-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 5-7.

The Vikings are very thin at the WR position and their only legit receiver is Percy Harvin, who was recently put on IR. That is not good news for Christian Ponder, who has really struggled in the last several games. Some other receivers have to step up facing Chicago and their 7th ranked pass defense. Ponder also has to be careful with the rock since the Bears lead the NFL in interceptions.

Adrian Peterson leads the league in rushing yards and he rushed for over 200 yards last week. The Bears really struggled last week against the run allowing the Seahawks to rush for almost 180 yards. The Bears do have the league’s 10th ranked run defense and not only did not play well last week defensive star LB Brian Urlancher is out for this game with an injury and he may miss the rest of the regular season.[soliloquy id=”82219″]

Jay Cutler had a good game last week throwing 2 TD and 0 INT as did lead WR Brandon Marshall with 165 receiving yards. The Vikes need to slow Marshall down, as the next leading receiver only has 23 catches. Minnesota has the league’s 14th ranked pass defense and facing the Packers last week they looked pretty good.

Matt Forte only rushed for 66 yards averaging 3.1 yards per carry against Seattle, but did have 3 catches for 30 yards. He and Michael Bush will man the rushing attack and they will face a Vikings’ run defense that ranks 14th in the league.

In some betting trends for this NFC North game the Bears are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games and they have an Over record of 4-0 in their last 4 games.

The Vikings are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and they have an Over record of 7-3 in their last 10 games following a S.U. loss.

Jason’s Pick: The Bears are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games against the Vikings and look for that trend to continue. Peterson will have another good game, but it will not be enough, as the Bears will win and cover even on the road.
