2015 NFL Week 1 Gambling: Previews, Handicapping ATS Spread Insight

Expert NFL Cappers – Week 1 Projections

The NFL season is still months away, but that hasn’t stopped oddsmakers from putting line’s on the board for the opening week of play. For bettors willing to peer into the future, these lines can provide a great opportunity to find value by attacking lines before the general public moves them around.

We KNOW you will find our FREE weekly nfl football predictions, tips and plays help make you more money all season long.

Here’s a look at five favorites and five underdogs worthy of a closer gambling eye in Week 1.

NFL Gambling – Week 1 Favorites

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears
Week 1 NFL Spread: Packers -4

The Packers embarrassed the Bears in a prime time showdown last season, and have been the class of the NFC North division for years now.

[dfads params=’groups=63753&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

A coaching change in Chicago likely isn’t what the Bears needed to stop Aaron Rodgers and co., as their suspect defense still figures to have trouble against Green Bay’s aerial attack.

Carolina Panthers at Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 1 NFL Spread: Panthers -4

The Jaguars have been making strides in the right direction in recent years, but they still aren’t ready to hang with a division winner like the Panthers. Carolina may have its flaws, but early in the season is a good time to fade bad squads like Jacksonville before the lines get inflated.

Detroit Lions at San Diego Chargers
Week 1 NFL Spread: Chargers -2

The Lions took a big step forward last season and revealed themselves a playoff contender, but this is a team that still needs a lot of work. The Chargers faded down the stretch a year ago, but they’re back and healthy and that figures to mean a good showing on their home turf.

Cincinnati Bengals at Oakland Raiders
Week 1 NFL Spread: Bengals -3

When it comes to betting the Bengals, it’s all about deciphering which Andy Dalton will show up. Cincinnati’s a complete squad from top to bottom with the exception of its two-faced quarterback. There’s no reason for the bad Andy Dalton to be showing up in Oakland.

New Orleans Saints at Arizona Cardinals
Week 1 NFL Spread: Cardinals -2.5

The Saints bring some name value into the opener, but they’re a team that shed a lot of talent in the offseason, and even though Sean Payton and Drew Brees are still in place, this New Orleans team is effectively in a quick rebuild. Going on the road to visit a Cardinals team that’s coming off back-to-back double-digit win seasons and returns a healthy Carson Palmer isn’t a recipe for success.

NFL Gambling – Week 1 Underdogs

Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots
Week 1 NFL Spread: Steelers +6

The Patriots don’t miss the mark on a lot of personnel decisions, and while they’ll likely win out with those decisions in the long run, it’s tough to ignore how much talent will be playing elsewhere this coming season. The Steelers will be without Le’Veon Bell, but Ben Roethlisberger can still keep that offense moving.

Kansas City Chiefs at Houston Texans
Week 1 NFL Spread: Chiefs +1.5

The Chiefs continue to get no respect from oddsmakers, and they have a chance to earn their supporters an easy win to start the season.

[dfads params=’groups=66501&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

The Texans still have some quarterback issues to sort out, and doing so against the Chiefs’ pass rush is hardly a recipe for success.

Cleveland Browns at New York Jets
Week 1 NFL Spread: Browns +1

The Jets have a new coach in place, but it’s another defensive mind who isn’t going to help Geno Smith and that offense figure things out. The Browns were a sneaky good team last season and have many of the same faces in place.

Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams
Week 1 NFL Spread: Rams +3.5

The Seahawks were stunned in their last trip to St. Louis, and in what could be the final home opener at the Edward Jones Dome, don’t be surprised to see Jeff Fisher pull out all the stops to get his team into the win column out of the gates.

Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills
Week 1 NFL Spread: Bills +3

Rex Ryan knows when he’s on the big stage, and getting his coaching tenure in Buffalo off on the right foot will be way atop his list of priorities. The Colts have had trouble when making the step up in class during the regular season, and a trip to face the Bills will be no walk in the park.

[dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

Here’s a look at the lines for the remaining Week 1 games.

  • Miami Dolphins (-2.5) at Washington Redskins
  • Tennessee Titans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3)
  • Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos (-4)
  • New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys (-5.5)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (-1.5) at Atlanta Falcons
  • Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers (-3.5)
