Keep in mind that five of their seven losses last year came by eight or less points. With Teddy Bridgewater looking like the real deal, with a pretty good set of receivers and with Peterson ready to terrorize once again this year, the Vikings have suddenly become a sexy pick to take the next step and possibly qualify for a playoff spot this upcoming year.

No longer will the Minnesota Vikings fans be forced to endure the average play of Matt Cassel or Christian Ponder – Teddy Bridgewater seems like the long-awaited answer for the club. Bridgewater went 6-6 record as a starter last year while throwing for 2,919 yards, completing 64.4 percent of his passes in the process on a solid 7.3 YPA. He also ran for 209 yards and a touchdown giving the Vikings a legitimate threat under center for the first time in a decade.

Receiver Mike Wallace was acquired and looks ready to prove all of his haters wrong, Charles Johnson and Cordarrelle Patterson are nice pieces in the passing game and of course the presence of Peterson will boost an offense that could do some good things this year.
The offensive line looks solid on paper. Matt Kalil is healthy, John Sullivan is a good in every aspect of the game at center and fourth-round pick TJ Clemmings could start the season as one of the big steals of the 2015 draft.
For once, there are few worries about Minnesota’s offense. They are as complete as they have been in years and have a chance to finish in the top third in overall offense this upcoming season.
The Minnesota defense got better last year despite the fact that long-time Vikes Jared Allen and Kevin Williams moved on. The team allowed just north of 21 points per game in 2014 and could be better this year. Shariff Floyd was huge in the run-stopping game last year, defensive end Everson Griffen emerged as a reliable pass rusher (12 sacks) and second year pass rusher Anthony Barr should improve in his second season.

Add in stud safety Harrison Smith and Xavier Rhodes in the secondary and the Vikes look just fine on defense.
Vikings 2015 Prediction:
The Minnesota Vikings look every bit the sleeper team that most expect this upcoming season – there are very few holes on this team. Adrian Peterson is worth a few wins all by himself! With Bridgewater having a full camp as the unquestioned started, with a solid corp. of receivers, with arguably the best running game in the NFL and with a solid defense, the Vikings look like a 10-6 team to me.
Don’t expect Minnesota to leapfrog the Packers in the NFC North but envisioning a playoff berth certainly isn’t out of the question. There is a team every year that takes an enormous step – the Minnesota Vikings are that team for me in 2015.
