Cappers Picks NFL Power Rankings – Week 12 – November 19th 2013

Dave B’s NFL Power Rankings – Week 12

NFL Power Rankings – Where Every Team Sits After Week 11

Week 11 is done – it featured some key matchup – four of last week’s top 6 faced off against one another in tremendous games. There are no undefeated teams left – KC unfortunately slipped from the ranks and subsequently down the Rankings and there is a new addition to the top 5 – one that nobody saw coming even just a few weeks ago.

Let`s take a look at where every teams stands in this week`s edition of Dave B`s Power Rankings

1. BRONCOS (Last Week: 2)

Beat the Chiefs Sunday night and regained top spot this week. The apparent injury issues for Peyton Manning didn’t seem to be an issue – he was stellar as usual. Denver, outside of one game this year has been able to do whatever it wants – next week’s showdown versus Brady and the Pats looks mighty intriguing!

2. SEAHAWKS (Last Week: 3)

Six straight wins overall and 13 straight on home field has the Hawks atop the NFC and distancing themselves from the 49ers. They head into their bye looking like the most complete team in the league but the Saints and the 49ers await after the bye. How good did Percy Harvin look with his limited touches Sunday?

3. CHIEFS (Last Week: 1)

Hung with the Broncos surprisingly and but they don`t look like a solid enough offense to ultimately beat Denver. But they made a game out of it – something only one other team managed to do so far this year. At 9-1 they HAVE to be top 3.

4. SAINTS (Last Week: 4)

Beat the Cowboys 49-17 in Week 10 and beat the 49ers Sunday. Defense continues to shine for this team which is the biggest shock – we know the offense will do their part all season long!

5. PANTHERS (Last Week: 6)

What a game last night! The Panthers proves that they belong in the top 5. In consecutive weeks they have beaten the Patriots and the 49ers. Impressive indeed! Cam Newton finally gets it and the defense has been superb all season long. Watch out for the Panthers – they will be a dangerous team going forward!

6. PATRIOTS (Last Week: 5)

Off their bye the Pats looked to be in a terrific situation to get the win Monday night but they ran into a buzz saw called the Carolina Panthers. The defensive injuries started to rear their ugly heads Monday although the offense looked balances and potent against Carolina’s stout defense.

7. COLTS (Last Week: 8)

This team continues to come out of the game slowly and it almost cost them again on Thursday night. But they squeaked out a win. They looked more like a team that is further down the Rankings but a 7-3 record, the emergence of Donald Brown and the fact that they have Andrew Luck has the Colts at Number 7 this week.

8. LIONS (Last Week: 7)

The Lions secondary is going to be an issue – let`s not mince words! On Sunday they got absolutely lit up by Ben Roethlisberger. The Lions shouldn`t have lost Sunday and slip in the Rankings because of it.

9. BENGALS (Last Week: 12)

The Bengals beat up on the Browns but it isn`t thanks to Andy Dalton who threw for 93 yards and 3 interceptions. Cinci sites in the top 10 because of their defense which played lights out in Week 11. The Bengals have a well rounded team and control their destiny in the AFC North.

10. BEARS (Last Week: 10)

This team has been winning with a backup QB and although their Week 11 victory lacked style points – a win is a win. The defense is getting healthier as well. At 6-4 the Bears have a share of first in the NFC North and may have the most complete team in the division.

11. 49ERS (Last Week’s Ranking: 9)

Not sure what to make of this team – the offense isn`t close to what we expected this year. It appears as though the Niners will be battling for a Wild Card – they are three games behind the Seahawks and not looking as dominant as most expected.

12. EAGLES (Last Week: 11)

Hard to believe that the Eagles are in sole possession of first in the NFC East and realistically, they look like the best team in the division. On offense they have been tremendous and on defense this team has had a knack of keeping teams out of the end zone.

13. PACKERS (Last Week: 15)
14. DOLPHINS (Last Week: 16)
15. BROWNS (Last Week: 14)
16. JETS (Last Week: 13)
17. COWBOYS (Last Week: 18)
18. CARDINALS (Last Week: 21)
19. CHARGERS (Last Week: 17)
20. GIANTS (Last Week 25)
21. STEELERS (Last Week: 23)
22. RAMS (Last Week: 20)
23. BILLS (Last Week: 24)
24. RAVENS (Last Week: 19)
25. RAIDERS (Last Week 26)
26. TITANS (Last Week: 22)
27. VIKINGS (Last Week: 29)
28. TEXANS (Last Week: 28)
29. REDSKINS (Last Week: 27)
30. BUCCANEERS (Last Week: 31)
31. FALCONS (Last Week: 30)
32. JAGUARS (Last Week: 32)
