Cappers Picks NFL Power Rankings – Week 10 – November 5th 2013

Dave B’s NFL Power Rankings – Week 10

NFL Power Rankings – Where Every Team Sits After Week 9

Week 9 of the NFL season is in the books and as per usual – there were plenty of storylines that developed on the field – and more than a share of off-field issues as well. There’s been some shakeup in the Rankings this week – but not at the top where the lone undefeated team looms.

Let`s take a look at where every teams stands in this week`s edition of Dave B`s Power Rankings

1. CHIEFS (Last Week: 1)

Everybody seems to be in the game against the Chiefs but as all good teams do – they find a way to win. Although they are not as dominant as you’d think for a 9-0 team, the Chiefs are still getting it done. Defense keeps the on top this week – Jamaal Charles, Alex Smith and Andy Reid may keep them there.

Denver awaits in Week 10 – should be interesting, then San Diego, then the Broncos again.

2. BRONCOS (Last Week: 3)

Rise in the Rankings this week despite not playing. They enter the second half with Coach John Fox on a Leave of Absence due to a heart issue and with a defense that has been unable to stop anybody. Still – Peyton Manning trumps all!

3. COLTS (Last Week: 2)

Two words – Andrew Luck!

4. SEAHAWKS (Last Week: 4)

Put up a clunker in St. Louis and almost lost to the Bucs at home – this team’s place in the top 5 is certainly tenuous. That said they did come back from 21 points down to win – not exactly high on style points but they got the job done.

5. 49ERS (Last Week’s Ranking: 6)

They have five straight wins by an average of 22 points and have put up at least 31 points in five straight game. Aldon Smith is going to return, Michael Crabtree and Mario Manningham are on the cusp. When this team is at full force, Seattle will certainly have their hands full!

6. PATRIOTS (Last Week: 9)

Scored the most points ever allowed by a Pittsburgh team Sunday – 55! They look like a different team with Rob Gronkowski in the lineup don’t they? The Pats have quietly scored 27 or more points in four straight games – if the defense could just limit the opposition to something south of that – the Pats would be in the same category as the Broncos in the AFC.

7. SAINTS (Last Week: 5)

Drew Brees was battered and bruised in a loss to the Jets – did anyone see that coming? The Bills almost beat them last week and this week the Jets solved the puzzle. Could the jig be up for the mighty Saints? No Darren Sproles, no Marques Colston really hurt this week!

8. LIONS (Last Week: 10)

The Lions come off their by in a share for first in their division and seem to have their destiny in their own hands with the injuries to the Bears and now the Packers QBs. The Lions climb without even playing – mostly because the teams around them faltered.

9. BEARS (Last Week: 13)

Beat the Packers Monday night and looked good offensively despite having their backup QB in there. Jay Cutler will reportedly be back next week – a terrific sign for this team. Monday night showed that this team has a ton of weapons offensively – now if the defense would live up to its billing!

10. BENGALS (Last Week: 7)

Were very unimpressive on Thursday night – Andy Dalton turned back into “bad Andy Dalton” and they team lost stud Geno Atkins for the year. The Bengals fortunes rest on Dalton’s shoulders – more performances like last Thursday and they could be in some trouble.

11. PACKERS (Last Week: 8)

That sound you just heard is the collective cries of Packers fans everywhere as Aaron Rodgers went down with a shoulder/collarbone injury. Can this team win with Senaca Wallace?

12. PANTHERS (Last Week: 14)

The Panthers have been winning convincingly and if the playoffs were to start today – they’d be in! Cam Newton has been playing his best ball and the defense is terrific right now – a great formula for success! They have the Niners and Pats the next two weeks – we will soon see if they are contenders or pretenders!

13. JETS (Last Week: 16)
14. COWBOYS (Last Week: 11)
15. TITANS (Last Week: 17)
16. CARDINALS (Last Week: 19)
17. CHARGERS (Last Week: 12)
18. BROWNS (Last Week: 29)
19. EAGLES (Last Week: 22)
20. DOLPHINS (Last Week: 18)
21. RAVENS (Last Week: 15)
22. REDSKINS (Last Week: 25)
23. RAIDERS (Last Week 20)
24. BILLS (Last Week: 21)
25. STEELERS (Last Week: 23)
26. GIANTS (Last Week 24)
27. RAMS (Last Week: 27)
28. TEXANS (Last Week: 28)
29. FALCONS (Last Week: 26)
30. VIKINGS (Last Week: 30)
31. BUCCANEERS (Last Week: 31)
32. JAGUARS (Last Week: 32)
