2013 St. Louis Rams Complete Season Schedule | Handicapping

Rams Schedule – NFL Football

Next up. The St. Louis Rams. One of my favorite tools in preparing for the 2013 NFL football season and to enhance your nfl wagering knowledge is to look ahead at each teams NFL schedule, and evaluate the games they will play.

2013 Regular Season Opponents

Sun, Sept. 8 ARIZONA For St. Louis, there are a pair of (unrelated) Longs – Jake on the offensive line and Chris on the defensive line – that heavily contribute to the strong foundation the Rams now have in place.

Sun, Sept. 15 @ Atlanta The dominant Falcons should take notice that the Rams defense is really rounding into form, largely because of relative unknowns like LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar and troubled CB Janoris Jenkins.

Sun, Sept. 22 @ Dallas The free-agent acquisition of TE Jared Cook should be great as an additional weapon for Sam Bradford, and Cook is the kind of target that could exploit the seam against the Cowboys, much like Dallas TE Jason Witten has done for years.

Thurs, Sept. 26 SAN FRANCISCO You can bet St. Louis will be fired up for this divisional clash. The 49ers are very good, but I could see this possibly being a low-scoring affair, with two strong defenses at work.

Sun, Oct. 6 JACKSONVILLE Last year, no one on the Jaguars could defend the pass, so if Bradford can’t have a strong outing against Jacksonville, it could make the Rams brass uneasy.

Sun, Oct. 13 @ Houston Elite RB Arian Foster slowed down considerably as the 2012 campaign progressed; the Texans need to reverse that trend if they intend to be a viable contender.

Sun, Oct. 20 @ Carolina The Rams let a lot of their established offensive weapons from last year (RB Steven Jackson, WRs Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson) bolt in the offseason, so they will lean heavily on unheralded youngsters. How will that pan out?

Mon, Oct. 28 SEATTLE If Bradford were going to implode in a game, it would likely be against a dominant Seahawks secondary, during the scrutiny of national primetime.

Sun, Nov. 3 TENNESSEE Long and center Scott Wells give the Rams a very legitimate offensive line unit, which they will require with no-name RBs Daryl Richardson and Isaiah Pead.

Sun, Nov. 10 @ Indianapolis The Colts are just a solid franchise, and it will be a task to contain Indy’s lethal passing attack indoors at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Sun, Nov. 24 CHICAGO You can bet that St. Lou’s front office and fans alike hope for a higher trajectory for Bradford than you’ve seen with enigmatic Chicago pivot Jay Cutler.

Sun, Dec. 1 @ San Francisco If St. Louis can out-San Francisco, San Francisco, it might just pull an upset in this late-season road game. That would be a tremendous feather in the cap of an emerging Rams football team.

Sun, Dec. 8 @ Arizona It will be interesting to see how much better WR Larry Fitzgerald is this season, with a QB that isn’t a scrub finally delivering him the ball. Yes, we’re looking at you, INT-prone Carson Palmer!

Sun, Dec. 15 NEW ORLEANS If the Saints are playing a road game, as an opponent you really don’t want them travelling to another dome stadium, but them’s the breaks. The Rams must lock down Drew Brees and uber-athlete TE Jimmy Graham.

Sun, Dec. 22 TAMPA BAY A lot of people aren’t sold on Bucs pivot Josh Freeman. This could also be a team that the Rams offense could use for a coming-out party, gathering momentum and confidence for the future.

Sun, Dec. 29 @ Seattle This will be a frenetic season-ending game for the Rams, what with the crazy environment at Qwest Field and all. But it will probably be just that, as I don’t see the Rams making the postseason.
