2013 New England Patriots Complete Season Schedule | Handicapping

Patriots Schedule – NFL Football

Next up. The New England Patriots. One of my favorite tools in preparing for the 2013 NFL football season and to enhance your nfl wagering knowledge is to look ahead at each teams NFL schedule, and evaluate the games they will play.

Sun, Sep 8@ Buffalo – Tom Brady open the season visiting the Buffalo Bills where they crushed them last season putting up 52 points. Will the Pats be facing rookie QB E.J. Manuel?

Thu, Sep 12 vs New York Jets – The first home game for the Pats is again the Jets, who they beat at home in OT last season. Brady will be tested facing a New York pass defense that was the 2nd ranked unit in the league last season.

Sun, Sep 22 vs Tampa Bay – The Bucs come to town for this non-conference match up and with the Pats be facing a Tampa Bay team that has promise this season or the one that fell apart last season? Brady will be facing a Bucs’ pass D that ranked dead last in 2012.

Sun, Sep 29 @ Atlanta – This game should be a barnburner with Brady facing off against Matt Ryan. The Pats’ pass defense only ranked 29th in the league last season and Ryan will be a big test for the new look New England secondary.

Sun, Oct 6 @ Cincinnati – The Pats will be facing an up and coming Cincy team that has a solid young defense. RB Stevan Ridley, who rushed for over 1,200 yards last season, will face a Bengals’ run D that ranked 7th last season.

Sun, Oct 13 vs New Orleans – Facing Drew Brees in the Big Easy is never an easy task and this game may be a shootout. Yeah, the Pats’ pass D struggled last season, but the Saints ranked 2nd last in pass defense last season.

Sun, Oct 20 @ New York – The Jets again this time on the road where the Pats won last season putting up 49 points. Will Gino Smith be the starting QB in the Big Apple?

Sun, Oct 27vs Miami -Last season the Pats skinned Miami at home 28-0 in the season finale. Once again Brady will be facing a pass defense that struggled last season with the Fish ranking 27th in the league in that category.

Sun, Nov 3 vs Pittsburgh – This home game is a big one facing Big Ben and the Steelers’ defense. Pittsburgh had the best pass defense last season and 2nd best run defense, so Brady and Ridley will be tested. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

BYE WEEK

Mon, Nov 18 @ Carolina – The Pats will head south to face Cam Newton and the Panthers and they should be rested after the bye week.

Sun, Nov 24 vs Denver – Man what a big game this one is and a battle between Brady and Peyton Manning. While these are the 2 big names in this AFC marquee match up the team that can play better defense may win this game.

Sun, Dec 1 @ Houston – Tough road game facing Matt Schaub and the Texans on the road. New England beat Houston at home in last season’s playoffs, but this game is in the Lone Star State and if the Pats’ pass D struggles they will have to get into a shootout to win.

Sun, Dec 8 vs Cleveland – The Browns have young talent, but a lot of issues on both sides of the ball. Last season Cleveland was only 1-7 on the road.

Sun, Dec 15 @ Miami – The Fish only lost to the Pats by 7 points at home last season. Last season Miami was a solid 5-3 at home.

Sun, Dec 22 @ Baltimore – This is a rematch of last season’s AFC title game, but the Ravens no longer have Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. Brady still be facing a solid defense and the New England secondary will have their hands full facing Joe Flacco.

Sun, Dec 29  vs Buffalo – The Pats end the season at home facing the Bills where last season they only beat Buffalo by 6 points. Will the starters rest in this game for the probably upcoming playoffs or will New England have to win? We shall see.
