The Miami Dolphins actually enter the season with the same coaching staff in consecutive seasons for the first time in quite a while. The big offseason pickup for the Dolphins was former Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace. Wallace was given a five year contract worth $60 million.

He should give young quarterback Ryan Tannehill a great downfield target. The team hopes that this will allow them to stretch the field in a way they haven’t been able to in many years. Brent Grimes was brought in to help a secondary that finished 27^th against the pass.

Offensive lineman Jake Long and running back Reggie Bush are the biggest losses for Miami since last year.  Tannehill threw only 12 touchdown passes a year ago, but he showed increase poise as the season went on, and expectations are high for him in Miami.

The Dolphins have a lot of question entering the season, but fans do have hope.

The Dallas Cowboys have been constantly disappointing their fans over the last few seasons. Jerry Jones knows this team needs to start winning football games now, and this season will be a big one for the Cowboys. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Dallas is switching over to a 4-3 defense with new coordinator Monte Kiffin. Many think this will help DeMarcus Ware have an even better season.

The biggest news from the offseason for the Cowboys was that quarterback Tony Romo got an extension and will be under center for the team for the foreseeable future. That contract extension was highly criticized by many, and it is definitely put up or shut up time for Romo. He has quite a few weapons in this offense.

Look for Dwayne Harris to become an even bigger part of the Cowboys offense this year. Dallas must somehow prove they can win the big games, rather than folding under pressure.

Tony Romo isn’t expected to play in this game due to surgery to remove a cyst. The odds have steadily moved in the Dolphins direction since the line opened at Dallas -1.

Miami probably has more roster spots on the line here, and I see them as the more motivated team in this one.
