Listed below is the NFL 2011 Buffalo Bills schedule and some insider NFL handicapping info.

2011 Regular Season Opponents

Sun, Sept. 11 @ Kansas City For the Bills to be a factor week in, week out, they need to capitalize on timely turnovers. If Buffalo’s secondary can make Chiefs’ QB Matt Cassel pay for mistakes, maybe the Bills just grab this opening road game.

Sun, Sept. 18 OAKLAND With a reasonable opening couple of games, it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Buffalo to start the 2011 campaign 2-0.

Sun, Sept. 25 NEW ENGLAND The Bills were third in the NFL in limiting opponents’ passing yards in 2010, but this is a clash against Tom Brady. Likely, all bets are off unless the Bills’ offense can also be productive.

Sun, Oct. 2 @ Cincinnati The Bengals have some individuals on that team, but they seem a ways off from being a well-oiled unit. This is another road game that could be had if the Bills bring their top form. On the other hand, we are talking about the Buffalo Bills.

Sun, Oct. 9 PHILADELPHIA Eagles pivot Mike Vick is an admired redemption story, and he only commands an offense that can put six points on the board quicker than you can say “Jack Robinson.” Buffalo will likely scramble unsuccessfully to keep pace.

Sun, Oct. 16 @ New York Giants Ball-hawking defenders like DBs Jairus Byrd and Drayton Florence might sink their teeth into G-Men QB Eli Manning – a pivot who can put up huge numbers, but also be interception-prone.

Sun, Oct. 23 BYE

Sun, Oct. 30 WASHINGTON There’s plenty of talk about Buffalo’s skill in defending the pass, but the Bills also went far to shore up their run defense with their first-round pick of the super athletic DT Marcel Dareus from Alabama.

Sun, Nov. 6 NEW YORK JETS Yappy coach Rex Ryan and the scrappy, hated Jets come into Ralph Wilson Stadium to kick off November. The Jets have just the kind of blue-collar, aggressive strategy that can give the Bills – and their loyal fans – fits.

Sun, Nov. 13 @ Dallas It should be hard for Buffalo to keep pace with America’s Team unless QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has a big day throwing to WR Steve Johnson, and those of his ilk.

Sun, Nov. 20 @ Miami A warm-weather late November game should be a welcome prospect, even travelling south to play the hated Dolphins. Miami seems to be a team in transition and compared to the other options in the AFC East, it is probably the best opportunity for Buffalo to grab a divisional win.

Sun, Nov. 27 @ New York Jets Let’s not mince words here: prospects do not look good in this game for the visiting team.

Sun, Dec. 4 TENNESSEE Is rookie Jake Locker the answer for the Titans under center? Buffalo hopes not; the Bills will have their hands full containing the speedy RB Chris Johnson.

Sun, Dec. 11 @ San Diego Yeah, the Bills can make things happen with their defensive back seven, but Chargers QB Philip Rivers can still shred apart any team, any given week.

Sun, Dec. 18 MIAMI The Dolphins will take to the road and will doubtlessly be packing their balaclavas and space heaters to get the job done in windy, howling, lake-effect snow pounded Orchard Park, NY.

Sat, Dec. 24 DENVER A win versus a middling Denver squad would be the best Christmas present the Bills could give western New York state.

Sun, Jan. 1 @ New England I thought people usually saved the best for last, though from the perspective of a Bills player, this match-up is probably the polar opposite. Hopefully Buffalo has some fight in it.
