Mon, Sept. 20 NEW ORLEANS – The home fans at Candlestick get a real treat for the home-opener. Field general Alex Smith will need the game of his life to out-duel Drew Brees.
Sun, Sept. 26 @ Kansas City – KC’s Jamaal Charles is what Seattle RB Julius Jones was five seasons ago, except better.
Sun, Oct. 3 @ Atlanta – Frank Gore and Michael Turner are two complete running backs worth the price of admission in the Peachtree State.
Sun, Oct. 10 PHILADELPHIA – Eagles pass-rush specialist Trent Cole is going to look to turn Smith into Hamburger Helper. The Niners’ hog maulies up front must ensure that doesn’t happen. 
Sun, Oct. 17 OAKLAND – The Niners relish any chance they get to wail on their cross-town rivals. Though the Raiders had a good draft in the first time in – forever, San Fran should still get the better of them.
Sun, Oct. 24 @ Carolina – Stud LB Patrick Willis will have ample opportunities to rack up the tackles in this one.
Sun, Oct. 31 DENVER (in London, UK) – The Broncos get to exercise their zone-blocking schemes in the Euro zone at Wembley Stadium on Halloween.

Sun, Nov. 14 ST. LOUIS – There are no excuses not to stomp the Rams at home if San Francisco wants a post-season effort in 2010.
Sun, Nov. 21 TAMPA BAY – The Bucs are a young team in development, but truthfully the Niners need to go 2-0 in this late November stretch against inferior opponents.
Mon, Nov. 29 @ Arizona – Matt Leinart doubtlessly instills less fear in the Niners than Kurt Warner did for years on end – first on the Rams and then the desert.
Sun, Dec. 5 @ Green Bay – A classic NFC match-up in perhaps the most classic venue.
Sun, Dec. 12 SEATTLE – A late-season game that could quite possibly have serious implications for how the division shakes down.
Thurs, Dec. 16 @ San Diego – A tough game to play on a short week, but San Fran has been known to play up to stiff competition from time to time.
Sun, Dec. 26 @ St. Louis – The 49ers hope they can box the shit out of the Rams on Boxing Day, Riddick Bowe-styles.
Sun, Jan. 2 ARIZONA – San Fran has been many people’s sweetheart pick for a couple seasons now, but if the Niners can finally put it together in 2010, this game could be in the ‘don’t miss’ category.
