Here we go with the Indianapolis Colts.
Indianapolis Colts Preseason Schedule
Aug. 12-16 San Francisco
Aug. 19-23 vs. Buffalo in Toronto
Aug. 26 at Green Bay
Sept. 2-3 Cincinnati
2010 Regular Season Opponents
Sun, Sept. 12 @ Houston – As a rule, the Colts have had the Texans’ number. Yet Houston has been forever progressing, and these are two offenses that will make scoreboards explode.
Sun, Sept. 19 NEW YORK GIANTS – Week 2 has nothing a little sibling rivalry couldn’t fix.
Sun, Sept. 26 @ Denver – Don’t expect the Colts to be sucking much wind at high elevation as one pack of wild horses tames another.
Sun, Oct. 3 @ Jacksonville – The Jags have often been pesky for Peyton Manning’s crew, but the talent gulf between these two division rivals is especially large in 2010.
Sun, Oct. 10 KANSAS CITY – Defensive ends Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis should hassle Chiefs QB Matt Cassel considerably, and Indy should grab a W at home.
Sun, Oct. 17 @ Washington – True, Donovan McNabb improves the Skins’ offense, but so long as Manning’s unit doesn’t get caught napping against a stout DC defense, the Colts should give Barack Obama something to watch other than growing deficit numbers.
Sun, Oct. 24 BYE
Mon, Nov. 1 HOUSTON – The visitors would love to show America that the AFC South isn’t just the Colts’ to have on MNF. If Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels get open like they can, it just may happen.
Sun, Nov. 7 @ Philadelphia – Never an easy place to go in and steal a win. Peyton doesn’t know this as well as younger brother Eli, but he’s certainly still cognizant.
Sun, Nov. 14 CINCINNATI – If the Colts were to get off track in the couple weeks following the bye week, this would be a nice game to re-adjust and set the focus for the latter half of the campaign.
Sun, Nov. 21 @ New England – Bostonians really don’t like Manning. This will be made abundantly clear in an atmosphere where hearing audibles is a futile enterprise. Tough game indeed.
Sun, Nov. 28 SAN DIEGO – Sandy Eggo has unsettled Colts fans in recent seasons worse than a sandy Eggo would unsettle an obese breakfaster. Colts and Bolts just don’t mix if you’re from the Hoosier state.
Sun, Dec. 5 DALLAS – A huge game for two top-tier squads desperate to show they can win the big one again (Colts) or just win at all (Cowboys).
Thurs, Dec. 9 @ Tennessee – You can bet the Titans will deploy RB Chris Johnson a ton. Is Indy’s undersized but aggressive defense up to the task?
Sun, Dec. 19 JACKSONVILLE – – There’s no doubt the Jaguars will be up for this game, but Indy should still beat them if they can just stay focused. Short rest plus three consecutive tough games leading up might get them off point.
Sun, Dec 26 @ Oakland – So long as Manning hits Clark and Wayne’s numbers more than Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha (which he will, he’s not Jay Cutler) there needn’t be reason for concern.
Sun, Jan. 2 TENNESSEE – If Indianapolis is resting starters at this juncture, it will likely lose.
